I know that you can put it down to 1 on the slider, however after using the 1m with a clutch I still saw it kicking in. Does anyone know how to disable it completely?

You have to press start go to the controller options, and set a button to turn traction control off. then you can change it on and off in race that's the only way I could do it.

There is a setting under gameplay that you can use to globally turn TC off. You can also set it to not allow any assists, allow all assists or allow only real assists [ones that are actually on the car] If assists are allowed then in theory you can turn them on and off with a button you have mapped to do so if needed or you can just turn them on or off in the gameplay settings section

I believe that slider works the opposite way. The higher you set it, as in to the right, the more wheelspin you get before TC kicks in. So if you want less TC, move it to the right. I've tried it in a few cars and it really works. Even with TC on, moving it to the right in most cars is pretty much like not having it on at all.

Y eah i realised that last night after posting this. Also TC will always be engaged unless you assign a TC button in the control settings.

You can turn TC off globally as well, but as you said, you can also assign a button to turn it on and off.

Has anyone tried to set the driving assists to real ? When you do this you shouldn't have TC with an old car like the Ford Escort Mk1 but in the tuning setup you can see the TC is on and you feel it when you drive.

Yes I think a lot of people here are running the PC version and there are discrepancies between that and the consoles unfortunately. A couple
I've noticed is AI only scalable by 10 points at a time and a very narrow range within some tuning parameters. Traction control being one of them.

I set driving aids globally to 'Real' in the settings menu to achieve the best simulation experience. However sometimes I'm in the mood to hoon about! Some cars also have the option to turn of TC however with some kind of button combination, so similarly I've mapped the TC function to my wheel. Works a treat. Although I'm rapidly running out of buttons!
