You can gain time on my ghost by hitting everything after brooklands correct. I messed up on Luffield, Copse, Maggots, Beckett and Chapel. I seemingly nailed the sweeping right and the chicane though. I got up a couple of car lengths coming down the back straight only to lose it on the last couple of turns before the finish ;/ good luck!

im just losing time on the second turn in the second sector, other than that, i can get around the track alright. thanks! i'll need it!:)

Sorry I didn't make it last night. Constant storms and a high pollen count in Virginia right now are killing my allergies/sinuses. I hope to make it Saturday, but I will be gone fishing all day, so hopefully I'll have enough energy to get behind the wheel when I get back.
 
Couldn't find my way to the track lastnight. I don't see any T_T Lounge, what could I be doing wrong? I go to community I jump over to the list of friends/players and click on one and then click their coffee cup right? Where should I be seeing T_T Lounge? Don't I need to be friended by the race host to get in, this isn't making sense? A lil help, anybody? (I'm sure it's just me beign retarder) WooHoo finally got gold on the TGT begginer track and I didn't even need to bounce off anyone LOL!

If you have been friended by the lounge, just scroll down your list of friends until you see Turtle_Town.
It is a user account just like your friends.
If you do not have it listed, then you are not yet set up as a friend to it.

ANyway, from there, click the coffee cup and join the lounge.
 
Anyone know a thing about cars?? My car died in the drive thru the other day. The rpms dropped then died. I went back yesterday to get it, tried starting it up and the engine was making a terrible rattling noise. All the fluids checked out okay. Any ideas?? It's a 98 ford escort with unknown mileage. The speedometer stopper working over 3 years ago and it's got 140k up to there, so I'm guessing over 200k.

I'd really hate to have to buy another vehicle since this was my work car and I can't afford to drive my 8 mpg pickup truck that costs 75-90 bucks every 4 days to fill up.

Given the year, mileage and fluids all checking out + the sound your hearing might be the timing gear chain or both. Did you recently change the water pump or do any other engine work? Usually occurs after you fix something else (I hate working on my car ... it always snowballs). I wud just put skinny liltires on my truck and drive that $heet!!! :)

The timing was worked on about 2 years ago. Other then that, just oil changes and fluid top off. I don't have stock rims to put back in my truck. I already dropped from 295's to 285's and that killer me lol plus it would look even funnier with the lift kit and small tires :D

I towed the car back to my father in laws house to have him look at it, but he's gonna be busy for the next week or so. He said it sounded like the engine was trying to lock up based on what all we told him.

Ugh. It just needs to survive until tax time. Blah

well your still doing better than me I got till March 2014 before the Cal DMV lets me pull out the ignition interlock device. I's a long story :dunce: On the upside I just clocked a 2:02.741 in the bus woot woot! It's tuff keepin that sucka up above 35 thru the turns.

I agree. Those things were bad about breaking timing chains, you need to check for spark and then check compression. Then get back to me with you're findings. If you have a fuel pressure gauge you could also check that.

Will do. My father in law works on heavy machinery for a coal company so he might have that stuff. Don't know how savvy he is with gasoline engines though. Thanks guys. I'll let y'all know anything I find out
 
Hey guys we will be having the Samba bus race on Saturday night at 10:pm est our normal time for Enduro racing. We will run 2 races at Top Gear Test Track they will be 8 laps instead of 23. I would like to keep everyone in the pack as much as possible. Thats the reason for the lap change from what we talked about Wednesday night. The race will be held in Turtle Town instead of the divisional lounges. We will all race in the same lounge, unless we get more than 12 drivers in that case we would split up into different lounges.
Remember every Turtle is invited no matter what series you run in.

Yes I'm a Metal Head from the 80's. Go ahead make fun its alright. I even had the mullet to go along with it. Just cut that off about 5 years ago.

I toured the East Coast playing in a metal band for a few years and I collect Jackson flying V guitars, so I ain't hating, lol
