no i actually don't speak it because i'm from the netherlands. i only write it and i do the best i can on these forums etc..

Yeah, still, you know, this kinda smells like piracy tbh.... correct grammar doesn't really solve that problem. Not a bad case though, since afaik Sony neither sell GT for PSX anymore nor do they offer it for PSP anway...

It is and it isnt. Sony doesnt make a much profit from PSone games sold on CD anymore. Its going to hurt them with the classic ps1 titles so it is piracy.

Yeah, but if you own the game, IMO, you should have the right to do whatever the hell you want with it almost, except for distributing copies of it. Plus, look at it, It's your own personal use anyway.

Think I havent heard that before? What percent of users will have that right? 2%?4%? That doesn't make it right because it wasn't meant to to be used that way. Sony is banking on the idea of classic games for PSP. If they wanted an open standard they would have made it that way. Hardware doent keep companies in busines, software does

I hope sony releases whatever I need to play GT2 on my PSP asap seeing as GT4 Mobile is taking them so bloody long.

well i experienced gt2 on cough*somebodies*cough psp.. its soo awesome too play such an good and oldie.. :)
There, your english is much better in this post. Thank you.

On topic, I'd love to have GT3 on the PSP. Never played GT1 or 2, so I can't comment. I don't get much time at home to hit the PS2, so having a favrite on PSP, that I could play after hours in my Site Trailer, would be great. No need to have TV, PS2, wheel and chair there, just carry it in.

yeah thats the point.. i hope they make a ps2 emulator for the psp.. untill now everything u got is a psx emulator but i am more than happy with it .. you should try gt2. pretty good graphics for a psx game

OK then, how about some step-by-step instructions on how to extract the files and then put them in the right folder on the PSP?.

sure.. on its way.. its half pass midnight over here... so u can expect one tomorrow including all the files except gran turismo ofcourse

yes your right. well the editer is to be found in step 2 of the tutorial.

but otherwise the savefile is called hot shots golf 2 and will turn out to be a big save file for all games.

STEP 1 : First of all you need to install 3.02 oe-a, THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE VERSION 1.5. IF YOU DONT HAVE IT, DOWNGRADE FIRST

[FULL] 3.02 OE Custom Firmware Installer
This is an Installer (.EXE) for completely 100% easy installation of the new, best firmware.
Name: 3.02 OE Full Package Installer.rar
Size: 34MB
Description: 3.02 OE PSP Custom Firmware Full Package Installer
The download link is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ffe77a

Includes:
302.PBP
150.PBP
Update Maker Folders
3.02 OE Installer Folders
Recovery Folders for 3.02 with 1.50 recovery.

Full 3.02 OE Custom Firmware Package
------------------
Generating the DATA.DXAR:

1. Copy oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% to /PSP/GAME/ if you are using 1.50 firmware and to X:/PSP/GAME150 if you are using whatever version of 2.71 Se.
2. Get the 1.50 and 3.02 Update eboots in the oeupdmaker folder with the names "150.PBP" and "302.PBP".
3. Run oeupdmaker. This program will create a file called DATA.DXAR in the same directory (oeupdmaker).
4. The program will verify that the SHA-1 of the generated file is correct.
5. Once that you have done this, you can save the DATA.DXAR file to skip this step in the future.

Flashing DATA.DXAR:

1. Copy the directories oeflasher and oeflasher% to /PSP/GAME (or /PSP/GAME150 if you are on 2.71 SE)
2. Copy the generated DATA.DXAR from oeupdmaker to oeflasher directory.
3. Run the flasher. If your battery is less than 75%, the program will show the error saying so and will return you to the XMB. This check can be by passed at your own risk by executing the program with triangle and L pressed.
4. The program will continue showing an agreement. Press X to accept and flash the custom firmware, or R to cancel and exit to the XMB.
5. If you accept, the program will flash the custom firmware. Don't shutdown the PSP and don't remove the memory stick.
6. Once finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually to 3.02 OE-A

STEP 2 UPGRADING TO 3.02 OE-B

File Description
This holiday season just keeps getting better for PSP homebrew users. Obviously, listing all of them would just be considered as wasting time, so I'll get right to the purpose of this post. Dark_AleX has just released the much anticipated update to his earlier custom firmware, 3.02 OE-A. And as promised, the new version will allow you to play your own PlayStation titles, rather than waiting for Sony to release them.

The only new feature in this release is the ability to play your own PlayStation titles, so I won't write up a changelog. Secondly, you can only get 3.02 OE-B on your PSP by upgrading from 3.02 OE-A, which means that if you're one of the few who haven't upgraded to 3.02 OE, it's time to do it now! Once you're on 3.02 OE-B, it's best to check out the readme.

The instructions for converting your PlayStation games to the POPS format are included in the popstation folder inside the archive. Here is a list of FAQs that Dark_AleX has included in the readme:

* Q: My game generated is a lot bigger in size than the same one from the PS3 Store.
* A: They use compression. Because the algorithm of compression is not still cracked, compressed isos are not supported yet.
* Q: I have my game in bin/cue.
* A: Use the bin as the ISO while converting.
* Q: I have my game in img/ccd...
* A: Use the img as the ISO while converting.
* Q: The savegames have the icon of Hot Shots 2!
* A: It's normal. Don't worry.

The only problem right now is that the emulator isn't 100% compatible with all the games out there. That's something you'll have to wait for Sony to fix. For the full instructions on converting your games to the POPS format, refer to the readme inside the popstation folder. I'm already busy converting my small collection of PSX games to the POPS format. Have fun!

3.02 OE-B including iso converter: http://rapidshare.com/files/9370040/oeb.rar.html

you need to put the OEB_UPDATE in "(PSPDRIVELETTER):\PSP\GAME150"
this folder does not exist so it is for you to make. You need to put all the homebrew in this folder or in the "game" folder, whatever works for you.

"PSPDRIVE:\PSP\GAME" this is were you make folders for the psx games.
so example : for final fantasy u need to make this folder : "PSPDRIVE:\PSP\GAME\FF" and just put all the files in there

EXTRA: well because all your savegames go into one file that's called hotshots golf 2 and maybe this is inconvenient for most of you guys so here is a seperate save file maker.

Simple Popstation GUI (Image, save and title support)

A little GUI for popstation that lets you change images, save id and title.

Place all the normal popstation files (BASE.PBP, KEYS.BIN and popstation.exe) in the "files" folder before use. The game title will also be visible in the save menu on the psp.
