Tweaking for acceleration...

I want to make my car (Calsonic Skyline) alot quicker on acceleration... what settings would I have to mess with to make it faster off the start?? Please keep in mind that I want to be able to reach top speeds of 190 MPH

im not sure of the exact setting, but you need to make the gears closer together. you can do this easily if you buy the full racing transmission, and go to settings before the race. look around and i think you will find what im talking about
 
Yeah, pull the slider at the bottom more towards the Sport side. Sport has better acceleration, while Wide has higher speed but slower acceleration.
