K I've tried making this thread 3 times now but I have issues getting a link too the picture so I kept closing it (since I had no proof) but there are two different drivetrain Spykers on GT5! I noticed when I fully tuned both of them and even though they where only 1000 miles apart on the odometer one had considerably more horsepower! So here's the link to the picture! And if Famine reads this sorry again about the misunderstanding yesterday!

Yay!

Okay, now I'm interested for the reasons I stated in... the first thread - the car is meant to be MR (it's a rear-mid mounted engine) but has been listed as FR since it first appeared in GT Concept. In the various car lists I've made, I've always listed it as FR but bolded it and added a note to the box to say that it's wrongly listed.

Since the GT5 Standard car list is directly derived from the GTPSP one (plus Astons, less the odd blip), that suggests that there should be an MR Spyker in GTPSP, but there isn't - there's only one version available. It might suggest that there is an MR Spyker in one of the various GT4 regions from which the GTPSP list is itself derived - I'd have to check these again and I'm missing the rarest, Korean version so it might appear in that.

If that's not the case either, it might hint that PD have pushed a GT5 update that corrected this long-standing error - and that one of your cars predates it while the other postdates it. I wonder what would happen if you viewed the FR car's settings screen then backed out...

I know that I have gone into the setting screen and adjusted the transmission, differential, and suspension for a drag tune and it did not change the statist of the drivetrain. Also I checked on the upgrades for both and the carbon driveshaft is not available for either one. With that being said I know, obviously, that is is a MR car but just thought it seemed different/unique that it states both drivetrains. I will put it on "online" status when I get home (2 hrs) to see if this changes the issue. Bit I do know when in a Drag racing lounge when restricted to FR I can still use it.

Hey I posted it to online and took it back off after saving and it still says FR, but before and after when you click on the thumbnail it says MR on the details screen

Now see, when I first bought the Spyker (maybe a few weeks after launch) it said FR, but then it changed to MR after a game update (though I'm not sure which one).

They fixed it in 1.10.

It resets the settings as being MR when you actually look at the car, like it did the for cars back when PD took tires out of PP calculations way back when and when they added PP to the Chappy. The game just doesn't update the thumbnail to the correct stats in the garage until you actually switch to the car.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sure about that. I'm not sure if my current Spyker predates 1.10.

I can attest to the fact that I have 1 of ea in the Garage. So far, I have been driving only the MR one, so I don't know how the FR one feels. But this car is a bullet even at 505pp.
I found out I had both, when MR cars were forbidden in a recent race online.

I have 1 FR and 2 MR spykers. All of them are bought around the same time (the FR first though). Only difference I see is that the FR one is tuned and the MR's are stock..

All this talk about the Spyker made me use it again. Will update if anything changes :)
