Two Jon's

A while ago Jon (moderator) pm'ed me and asked me for a gmail invite, I replied to his pm and asked for an email addy for me to send it to. After not hearing back for a while i decided to check what I had sent to him. The message had been sent, but it was sent to 'jon' not 'Jon' even though I clicked reply. Very strange It seems names can be duplicated if they are in different case but replying to pm's does not handle it.

Thought you might like to know.

Well that's no good. Hopefully the vB guys will get that sorted out fairly quickly.

If something like this happened where I work everyone would say "It's crap! We can't trust it! Use something else!" - I know, I've gone through it several times already. So irritating.

Well that really isn't vBulletin's fault. Both users registered before we started using vB, (and we used Ikonboard), which did allow for duplicate names in different cases and that just carried over when we did finally move to the new software. "jon" hasn't visited the site in 3 years so I went ahead and took care of him so Jon won't be having any more problems. I'm suprised this issue never popped up sooner.
