I wanna ask if someone else are in the same situation as I am?
I am stuck with two licenses that I am not able to reach Gold on.
The first is the "double hair-pin" on Indy roadtrack or whatever it is called
The second one is the cone-challenge with the Toyota FT concept.
There is no way in hell I am able to pull this off as I have tried them both probably 50-60 times each.
Someone pls give me a hint on how to manage to pass these as it is annoying to have only two silver left and the rest gold.

Try different traction control settings.
I needed to increase the traction control to 7 to gold the A8 "Tackling the high speed Schumacher S" test.
:)

I found that active steering helps for the FR slalom challenge as it prevents you from turning too much.

The Indy one, just slide into the first corner but break out of the slide as soon as possible to get a good exit. You can also cut the last hairpin a bit as there is a bit of curb that you can go on.

I think these 2 are the most difficult.

I'm in an even worse situation than you! These are 2 I still have BRONZE.
Most I have silver, and I'm .001 second away (or something almost as close) to gold... but just can't make gold.
Though oddly, some I made gold the first time. ???

My bf has gold on these 2, but they took him the longest to get.
His advice was:
try different abs settings
try different controller sensitivity settings (if using ds3)

Wish I knew the secret!

These license tests are so infuriating!

I've been trying to gold them all and so far managed the few I've done but it really is fustrating.

But its very rewarding when that gold trophy music starts playing though!

In a test, if I'm behind the ghost car when approaching the finish line I get myself disqualified, because its a quicker way to resart.

What i did on the cone slalom was switch to automatic, and floor it out of the gate. Here is the key, once you hit 3rd gear, hold the pedal at about half throttle. This helps u get into a groove without going too fast for the course. Pretend u have an egg under ur gas pedal. If u have a good line near the finish, you'll know when to gun it to the finish. no aids on at all. Good luck

Best advice I can give is to turn the car with the throttle. Especially important in the slaloms, lifting off will give you oversteer and applying throttle will give you understeer. In the slalom you only want tiny steering movements, enough to let the throttle do all the work.

No, you'll do that if you're aiming for bronze. For gold, braking is bad. It's all about throttle control and precise steering in this license test.

Definitely this! The less you brake the faster you can accelerate. Also by just releasing the accelerator you can coast quick enough into a controllable turn around the cone and then be able to accelerate back into the next one.

I recently golded all the license tests. I don't remember the Indy one all that well as I did that a while ago. The FR slalom was the last one I had to do and it took me nearly 2 hours. I used automatic and turned my controller sensitivity all the way up (this helped immensely). I was full throttle for the first 4 pairs of cones (including the very first ones at the start). For the next 3 or 4 pairs I was at about 75% throttle (I have seen videos of guys burping the throttle around the cones, that just didn't work for me at all). You really need to be looking almost 2 cones ahead. Your turning points are way before you would think. With the sensitivity up all the way, I did not have to turn my wheel very much at all which helped a great deal in not getting the cars weight to shift too much. I found that I needed to be back at full throttle right around the exit of the 3rd to last pair of cones. Be patient with this. I was about 8 tenths off of gold when I first started and had no idea how the heck I would gain that much. Then things start to come together and you gain a couple of big chunks. From there it is just a matter of time and a little luck to put together the perfect run.

Ok after 15 or so tries I did the double hairpin for a replay. Was stuck on 18.309 for last 6. End with a 18.203. Tc -1 abs-1. Try not to slide to much in the corners. Roll through as much as you can. Don't heavy brake

I hope either of these help

The first left you can take different ways. I think the big thing is not going into the first hairpin too fast. You'll lose to much slowing down and not enough rpms to carry the speed.

Yeah, I've got 60 gold licences now and those 2 were certainly in the top 5 trickiest one's.

For Indy, stay as far right as poss to start with and basically cut as much of the first corner as possible.

Cones, full throttle and about half way through tap the brake to straighten the car for the next set of cones. Stay as close to the cones as possible and make sure you get a good start..

The fr slalom was my last one too. Took foooorrreeeevvverrrrrrr!

Just golded it in 13.760 with a DS3 and traction control on 2

Saved the replay, should I post it in here?

Oy yeah I did these last night. The only thing that took longer was the gosh darn 1000M Braking Challenge.

For the slalom challenge, I didn't use any breaks, and make sure to avoid choppy throttle inputs that will upset the car. Steady part throttle in third gear and your good to go.

These same 2 tests were the last ones I needed to get. I don't even know how I golded Indy, I was .100 off on one try and beat it with flying colors the next. Took me a while though.

The FR slalom test: best advice I can give you is turn all aides off, ABS at 1. Don't hit the gas until the timer gets down to 1 on the start, never let off the throttle, hold full throttle ALL THE WAY THROUGH and just lightly use the brakes to get the front end to steer. Lifting off the throttle causes throttle lift oversteer and makes the car turn too much. With holding the gas 100% all the way through and just using the brake to even out the weight distribution of the car should get you through very well.

I DID IT!!!!!
Thanks guys for your assistance and here´s my way of doing it
* Double hairpin - Dont drive too fast. As mentioned by someone, if you start slide you are loosing the speed. Make an early entrance in the first corner and make sure you really end up way out to the left before the second corner. This will give you good speed and take you out right for the last corner. Try to cut the last corner as much as possible without being disqualified. Floor it half way into the last corner.
* FR Cone slalom - Floor it and after about 4 cones reduce and try to keep an even speed with gentle acceleration control. Go as tight as possible to the cones (yes you will get disqualified MANY times) and make sure you are steering in well ahead before the cone. If you go too straight you will just slide and loose your speed. Three cones before the end - floor it.

Yes they were tough but finally I am 60 gold. Now I will attempt the "Specials" as well :scared:

Thers's a really difficult test, B-5 on the first set of tests, I just can't get that gold.

Its the peugeot 207 one.

The indy roadtrack one took me about an hour... I posted a 18.337 time first try, but I got worse and worse.
In the end I got a 18.250 ish time... I'll post the video later.

Hi, i achieved Gold in the double hair pin test. You can slide the car in first corner then you have to do the complete opposite in the second part, which means you have to follow the blue line and avoid sliding the car. I don't think that you need to modify the car's settings. Don't hesitate to use the brakes in the first part as you need to have complete control of your car to properly start the second section.

As for the slalom test, i my self left it for the end but i think it's achievable if you avoid braking and sliding the car...

Personally, i think the IB licence is the hardest to achieve all in Gold.

^^ I agree about the slalom test. Not that I don't believe people use the brakes and golded it, but IMO you shouldn't even touch it. Its all about staying as close to the cones as possible. Full throttle through the first 7 sets. Then gently let off maneuver through the awkward set I believe it was cone 8. Then its all about throttle control. Let off like 10% as you cut your turn and gently get back on it between the next couple cone sets. Then you should floor it 100% out the last 2. You should never drop below 80 Mph after the 7th cone. If you have the driving line on the parts where it tells you to brake are actually the parts to accelerate. (after cone 7)

Hope this helps someone, its tricky but once you know what it feels like you will be able to do it again. When I watched my replay it looked like I was going to clip every single cone set except the last two. So concentrate on staying close to the cones with very little steering movement, turn active steering to strong also.
