OP those 2 are tricky ones , if you get close to gold save your replay and watch it a few times then try to simulate what you did, I did this and i will admit it is just luck that that one time you think you did nothing different and bingo GOLD , it is just a question of repeating until you find that extra xxx of a secound.
The salom one i think you go full throttle until the 4th or 5th set of cones if i remember rightly ? But don't quote me.

What i did on the cone slalom was switch to automatic, and floor it out of the gate. Here is the key, once you hit 3rd gear, hold the pedal at about half throttle. This helps u get into a groove without going too fast for the course. Pretend u have an egg under ur gas pedal. If u have a good line near the finish, you'll know when to gun it to the finish. no aids on at all. Good luck

This....don't flatten the gas in 3rd (but more than half I'd say) and do it with manual gears.

For the other the youtube vids helped...you have to throw the car into the first turn just clipping the tarmac so you don't get disqualified and then just keep as much speed as possible throught the next two corners. It helps to hit that tarmac at the right of the road just before you take the first left.

Glad I'm not the only one that struggled with the darn cones!! Went back to the license tests with PSN down and knocked off the last two with golds last night and now I'm stuck on the cones...will try some of these tips tonight hopefully...

For IC-3 (Indy double hairpin) - turn all aids off including ABS, with that I golded it on 3rd try.
For IB-3 (FR cone slalom) - ABS 1, brake balance 0/4, manual transmission ASM and TCS off and steer as little as possible.

I DID IT!!!!!
Thanks guys for your assistance and here´s my way of doing it
* Double hairpin - Dont drive too fast. As mentioned by someone, if you start slide you are loosing the speed. Make an early entrance in the first corner and make sure you really end up way out to the left before the second corner. This will give you good speed and take you out right for the last corner. Try to cut the last corner as much as possible without being disqualified. Floor it half way into the last corner.
* FR Cone slalom - Floor it and after about 4 cones reduce and try to keep an even speed with gentle acceleration control. Go as tight as possible to the cones (yes you will get disqualified MANY times) and make sure you are steering in well ahead before the cone. If you go too straight you will just slide and loose your speed. Three cones before the end - floor it.

Yes they were tough but finally I am 60 gold. Now I will attempt the "Specials" as well :scared:

congrats!!

The slalom test took me so long to beat. I just kept trying. The key is to stay around 75 mph if I remember correctly. Put down the power on the 2nd to last cone.

Now I am struggling with the Specials instead but I am not giving up. I managed to do all gold up to and including all AMG specials. The last one with the SLS in rain took me a couple of attempts :yuck:
The one I really fear is the Sebastian Vettel X2010 special. Jeez I can hardly stay on the track and earlier I managed to get bronze at least but now I intend to go for all GOLD. I wonder how many times I have to try that one as it seems more or less impossible I would say.

Golded all the license test except for the second $%#^*&!! cone test and I'm not even close. Can't stop now so I'll keep trying until I get it!!

Can't tell you how many times I ran a test and got within 10 thou but didn't make it!!!

Keep at it you'll get it. I had trouble with IC3 at Indy to get the last gold & finally got it last night. Took a while!!!
