Pebble Beach
This truly exceptional supercar, which comes with a unique removable roof, combines the ultimate in performance with the pleasure of open-top driving. The 8-liter, 16-cylinder, double-V engine generates 1,001 bhp and is capable of propelling the car from zero to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and attaining a top speed of 252 mph. This engine is paired with a 7-speed, dual-clutch transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.

The sophisticated design of the Grand Sports bodywork and aerodynamic components directs the airflow over the heads of driver and passenger so they feel no draught. In addition to many new features, the Grand Sport incorporates innovative structural solutions designed to ensure that the roadster offers the same extremely high level of passenger safety as the coupe.

Chassis Number 001 of the new 2009 production model will be sold on Concours Sunday at the Pebble Beach Auction presented by Gooding & Company. The high bidder will have the chance to specify the car in Molsheim/Alsace. Proceeds in excess of the MSRP will go directly to one of the Pebble Beach Concours charitiesthe Pebble Beach Company Foundation, which supports educational programs to aid the youth of Monterey County.
