Isn't the newer FD2 Civic Type-R supposed to be faster than the old DC5 Integra Type-R?

Every lap record I've seen so far IRL has the Civic sauntering ahead of the Integra and yet the Integra is a second faster around my usual test track,Eiger Nordwand.

Both cars are stock on same tires and there is no difference in the techniques as both cars handle similar.Lap times are rather consistent within tenths of each other.

The few observations I've made is the Integra has more suitable gearing to the track but the Civic feels more rigid and stable.

Different drivers I suppose.

Since you're getting different times in game, then I guess the older car is better (in game). To get a real life comparison you'd need to take the cars to the exact same track with the exact same tires with the exact same driver.

I forgot to mention I was driving both car's.:P
The integra is a little bit lighter...I suspect it's also the track which lets the older model get way with less rigidity and taller 1-2-3 gearing.

Tsukuba doesn't have a long enough straight and too little high speed direction change corners. Just too short a track really. suzuka is fine but a bit of a long lap time.

On Suzuka the new FD2 Civic is exactly a second slower than the Integra...That means that the Interga in GT5 is faster than it is IRL...According to Fastestlaps it is supposed to be a few seconds slower!
