type R series problem

has anyone else noticed that on motorland reverse in the honda type R races the cars go into the pits for no reason, and sometimes take the final corner faster and go flying off the track? i wonder if its just my copy, as it seems like an annoying bug if i ever want to do the races competitively :(

Happens in a few other series there as well. Just AI stupidity, don't worry about it. Having said that I've done it once or twice myself, catch the dirt on the last corner and you'll slide straight into the pits. Doh.

Happened to me too. Also I've noticed sametimes on the beginner course too, where the final right turn, sometimes AI didnt brake and went straight to the pit stop.
 
I saw this happen. It is always the civic that does it. The AI overcooks the corner before and just slides into the pits.

I was about to lap it and saw it happen right in front of my eyes. It was funny because it ended up stuck at the pit entrance... :-)
 
It happened to me with Bob on the Ring. He was going so fast the corner just before the entry to the pit lane that he was missing it. He was even trying to go through the wall so I had to cancel my request to ask him to pit and re-ask him again.

Yes, it's annoying. When I did the race, it happened all the time. Every AI car, except the 2nd place NSX did it at least once.

I've also had it happen to me at Beginner Course (twice during the Dream Car Championship) and the R89C during the GTWC crashed into the pit wall and got stuck there for like 2 laps.

Just another fine example of the bad AI in GT4. 👎
 
i just was doing that race today. won the first 4 but had to let bob take over because i was pressed for time...

he got 3rd. what an asshole.

but yeah, at the motorland there was a yellow integra that went into the pit twice. no one else did, but i lapped htem anyway. 2 of them anyway. i only won by like 3 seconds over second place.
 
yeah, it's total Barbara Striesand, but it DOES happen. B-spec Bob has 8440 b-spec points and sometimes misses the corner, into the sand, then deftly executes a near perfect 12 point turn about using BOTH sides of the track.... :dunce:
 
Yeah it happens. I was racing and saw on the map that an AI car was off to the side like he was in the pits and it distracted me enough so that as I was coming in I did it.

After that I decide to quit paying attention to anything the AI was doing that didn't directly affect me. Apparently I can't watch them and pay attention to the road at the same time. :dunce:
