types of wheels

The GT series is nown for many things one is the large range of wheel mags.
Does any one know away that PD can make this catagory better instead of just adding more mags?

Yep... by allowing you to buy different sizes and offsets of each style, that will affect the handling in an appropriate manner, also increasing the wheel size will increase unsprun-mass which is a great killer of handling in real life, especially on Skylines... So I'd like to see that simulated, to add another dimension to wheel choice, the idea of Alloy wheels is to reduce weight - people seem to forget that fact and go for looks instead... Thats my idea anyways :D

"mags"?

I wouldn't say the GT series is "known" for it either. There was no such feature in the first GT game, it cropped up in GT2, made a repeat showing in GT3 and vanished again for Concept and Prologue.

If wheel options return in GT4, I like the idea of size and offset realistically affecting handling. With a lot of American muscle cars, I'd also like to see more classic wheels. Halibrand kidney beans, Astros, American Minilites, Cragar SS, Radir, and a bunch of others. They would look great.

"Mags" referres to a Magnesium wheel, used often on race cars for thier lightweight. They are rarely used on street cars because they are very expensive. Wheel size, weight and width will have a big difference on handling. That would be interesting to give more choices on how you can set up a car in the game. "Offset" is something different and in real life you don't really get to pick the offset of a wheel. That has more to do with how the wheel fits on a car. That's my bit of car geek trivia for the day.
