Tyre manufacturers?

Not being an expert on computer programming myself, I'm hoping someone, with the relevant know how, would be able to answer my question.

Would it be possible to start seeing tyre differences beyond the current spec options. E.g. Michelin vs Pirelli or something similar.

Is this something that could be considered or is it too difficult to create minor variances?

I think that it could definitely create some difference in the level of grip but because we only have Yokohama tyres for all cars I doubt it .

Well considering they have boasted about working with Yokohama, I doubt you will see other brands being implemented in the game.
I'm not talking about what the actual tire logo says, but implementing other tire companies physics.
As far as difficulty, its probably not that hard, but the rate that PD works, it'll be GT8 by the time they finish another flawed physics system.
