Never ever ever ever ever !
I dont know if a thread has already been started about this, but I have been thinking about it for a while. As with GT4 on some events there was Tyre Wear which made it just a bit more challenging for some of us.

But to make GT5P more interesting why not put Tyre Wear in one of the next Event Updates with the option to turn it off if you dont want it. It would be great to see how everyone deals with their tyres losing grip over a 5 or 10 Lap Race. With this in Mind I would like your thoughts as to wheather or not this would be good to see in GT5P.

Yes I would like to see that but there will be no more major updates on GT5P, only online event update and I think that is too big to be in a future online event update. I'm sure we will see this in the full GT5.

Some wise words of wisdom:

Check the main GTP News page.👍

All events except rallies should have tyre wear in GT5, so stop worrying.

It would be nice but isn't going to happen in GT5P and is almost certainly going to be in GT5.

I would also like to see this mate, i think we have some type of tyre wear at the moment? in races i notice that on maybe the second lap the grip is a lot better than the first? anyone else notice this?

I have. The tyres warm up on the opening lap and they also get dirty when you go off into the gravel.

But they don't wear out after a great number of laps or after burnouts and such. They only warm up in the first lap and get dirty when you go off track with four wheels for more than 2 seconds or something like that. Even spinning off track and quickly getting back on it won't do anything to your tyres.

I don't feel any tyre warm up on the opening lap.

My apex speeds on lap 1 (for example; through the esses at Suzuka) are the same as any other lap.

And in Time Trials, quite often I'll run a fast lap the first lap after a re-start.

I agree, I've never noticed this tyre warming up nonsense, I don't think it exists, it's just people's imagination until they get into a race rhythm.

I'd love to see tyre wear (and fuel consumption) in online races, it would make the experience so much different and way more exciting than what's not dissimilar to a hotlapping session. But unfortunately, it's something we wont get to experience until the release of GT5. Can't wait!

Yeah, I think you might be right. I've never experienced any warming up, the only difference in the tyres I've ever felt is after leaving the track.

I think you are wrong, try drifting in lap 1 vs lap 10, car is much more stable in weight transfer. I am always faster last 5 laps and its not because of rythm, because I always warm up so Im ready to race. When I used FAK's tune for viper 750pp I felt he had tuned it for warm tires, because in lap 1-3 it was quite understeery and lap 4-10 the car really came alive. Even in free run you will feel it.. If its not tire wear I dont know what it is, but its something happening.

I agree with mr_VOLCANO, on the tire warm up! I think it is the same, as in GT4. You start with blue tires, then after a lap or two they are green!:sly:👍
