Are there any simple things you can do to improve tyre wear on a RWD car (like the Ford MK IV) in suspension settings, without having to change most of the set up? Because I use Prianio's tune and it has low spring rates which I reckon increases tyre wear... is that right?
 
Eh…lemme think…low brake balance setup (2/1 and such), as close to 0.00 toe and camber as possible, for starters. I've not seen Praiano's tune for the MK IV though, but he normally takes these things into consideration, unless I'm mistaken. Longer gears should help…but I'm not sure on that.

Smooth driving also helps, to quote Johnnypenso, tyre squeal = tyres wearing.
 
just use throttle properly (especially in corner exits) and change LSD settings to lower.

Right well with my tweaks I have LSD at 15 15 15, and 2.0 / 1.0 camber, with -0.05 toe.
 
you can go lower if the wear is still too high (accel and torque). I mostly use cambers 3.0 and 1.5 and toes around +0.10 front and 0.00 rear in high powered cars, brakes 7/5. Dont have problems with tyre wear (DS3).

Make sure you are applying throttle as Smoothly as possible and as has been said cautious use of steering angles. It do a lot.

Keys to tire wear are a balanced tune, meaning little over or understeer leading to even tire wear front and back, softer brakes, and smooth driving. Almost any tune will provide good tire wear if you are smooth and the car is balanced. I've had cars tuned for long races with exceptional tire wear, given them to other people, and they complain up and down about how crappy the tire wear is, even if I win the race running away. The answer is not in the tune, it's mostly in the driving style. And giving up a few tenths on a shorter track or a second or more on larger tracks will go a long way to adding entire laps to the life of your tires.
