Hey, I dont mind the no overtake rule, but, what if the lead car stalls? He's not OFF the track, but can i overtake then? Or if I stall due to not hitting him, How will that be judged?

a stall is easy to recover from though.. if a collision is caused by you slowing down alot and pretty much causing the incident then it is you who will loose points as YOU stalled. if you do overtake then the position must be given back

and Welsh & I unnoficially decided on one of our rules being no RX-7 Spirit R as its too fast on comfort hards making it potentially difficult to judge... unless we can find a way to slow it down

lets all battle in standard fiats instead

Theres lots of cars that will keep up with it.
Gonales can with her 350z and isf and TheKingb with his mustang cobra. The list can go on. Its abput the right setup, not the car

Its not just about the right setup. Those cars must be of good drift speed and if the rx7 has small angle in the drifts it will disappear. I've tried the thing many times and every time the speed make leading a twin drift annoying. It IS fast and not many cars keep up. Some can but you need a perfect run with most. Don't think I have ever overtook one in a drift yet. Not once. I'm going to qualify in one and if I get in. Battle in it to. To prove a point.

sorry, i know i have no business in this battle, but i find this to be a very weird/stupid comment(no offense!). This issue came up in our battle, as well, as jimmy kept complaining about it, enough to compare it a 4wd car. But i dont think its too fast at all. Its all about car setup! With that in mind, I know for a fact its not too fast bc Dom(Gonales) was able to keep up with me, if not be faster than me, all the time in every car she has driven (ISF or 350z).

Made an rx7 drifter. Guessed the setup. Did an awful lap of tsukuba . Just one. Didn't hit apex on most corners. 1.13.3

Got an rx8 of very close power and weight. My usual car. Nice setup etc. Did about 7 laps. Couldn't get near the one crap lap I set in the other car. Was on average about 1.5 seconds slower. And from what i've seen in the rx8. It's quite quick to drift itself.

Yeah but if you're referring to the rx7, its not about the power, its about the grip it gets, for some reason PD have made it have more grip than 98% of the cars in GT5 on comfort hards.

But then there is a high chance they will shout bias if we win. No offence D-Spec.

Don't worry, being our first competition, everyone is anxious to compete and battle other teams so this will be more fun than competition I think, at least with D-Spec teammates :D

Some of our members who came directly from another team have been itching to do some sort of competition, so everyone is pretty psyched.

Going back to the first page >> Jimmy you ran with me on one of Bang's tracks. You were in a TVR and I was in the Amemiya Rx7 and we blew Volk away lol. I've gotten a bit better since then I think as well. And yeah, like Porsche said although we do take this seriously as it is a competition, we are really excited to run our first. If we win that'd be great =P Though i'm kinda thinking we won't after hearing Supra hype up Gonales XD Porsche will probably be her oppenent if we have that option lol. Can't wait to battle with you guys, it should be pretty sweet. Here's hoping I don't bomb it!

I would say our whole team has a really high level of skill :-P hope I qualify ! Lol

Green FT86 G Sport. FTW!

It's gonna be interesting to see thats for sure :) There was a time I was confident of a top 4 placing within our team... now im not sure any of us can be ;)

Thankyou Flame!

I do remember you commenting on my skill level lol.. believe it or not i had not used that car in 2 months and ran a totally unknown setup lol.. you were pretty good yourself :)

as for this competition i will not be running in it.. im going to step back and allow members that havent battled before try and get a foot in :)

Like I said in previous comments i'm more than happy to judge.. I have a couple of people who can say i wont be bias but i dont reckon you guys will think this at all :) if you are happy with me to judge then i am happy to do so

Alex (PS3Dan) probably would manage if its not too late i reckon :)

im not gonna run so i may aswell help out :)

yerr long as the other team is fine and they can suply a judge aswell thats fine.

porschedrifter get you guys in this thread to talk about the rules and so on and to answer any questions they have.

Tsukuba ?

To be honest, I wouldn't mind Clubman Stage 5. Love that track, Reverse obviously .. JOKE (judging 1st corner entry speed is so hard xD) Clubman Stage 5 forward is great track !

DEFInately agreed ;D love that track :)

Yea or Indy road course..... I chose Tsukuba because its the track people know the best so makes things more fair. Im up for Indy Road though

The reasoning behind indy road is that it isn't a full track battle then, makes it more realistic and you can focus more on that section then instead of having to do the WHOLE track which takes time. I like the idea muchly myself :)
