How can a car that has '0 miles' be classed as a 'Used' Car? I'm aware that 'Used' is the games way of saying "Standard", but it still seems a little 'wrong'. I can understand about cars in the OCD with '0 miles', but not the UCD.

Well, as it turns out, Bob's brother Doug owns and operates the UCD. He gets great rides from various sources, including private collections. And from time-to-time, a vehicle with no mileage shows up in his showroom. As he put it earlier this year, "Great deal, eh? Bought it new from the original owner... the hoser never drove the thing!".

How can a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupe '54 be in the new car Dealership? Mercedes-Benz hasn't Sold that car in 57 years.

The OCD can be recoded easily, "Online". The UCD car prices are determined by some base price of each model then lowered by percentages based on milage, that is probably harder to change for every Standard car in the game, than it is for the 20 cars in the OCD.

That brings me up to a thought, double the price of an OCD car and find it in the UCD and do some math with the milage and I would assume we could figure the formula for prices in the UCD.

I would do it myself but I'm away from my PS3 for awhile.

More than likely since Bob is such a crappy Driver, it would make sense that Doug is a crooked dealer. These cars have obviously had their odometers rolled back but he figures that people will buy them just to keep them 0/0, so they will never realize they just bought a lemon.

So, basically the rules are; someone else buys the car but doesn't drive it whatsoever, it's now a Used Car. O.K
There are no rules, its logic. Somebody bought the car originally, right? Therefore when being resold it is now 'previously owned'. A new car has never been owned... it left the factory on a truck and arrived at a dealer. Zero miles or not it was still owned by someone prior to you.

I think we should start a petition to rename it to the "Quality Pre-Owned Vehicle Dealer." QPOVD for short.

Used car dealer sounds enough. Quality Pre-Owned Vehicles? Every car we buy at the UCD has black oil, a worn out engine and a battered chassis. Need maintenance right after we buy once car.

Have you ever looked at such "Quality Pre-Owned Vehicle" lots around your town? Its merely another sly attempt at simulating the real world
