United Federation of Automobiles GT3 Regions Series

GT3 Introduction
This series is one in the penultimate tier that UFRC provides. The series will host at least ten different car models of the sport car class, from nine manufactures. All cars are of the premium quality offered and set guidelines followed to create a unique and fun racing experience that mirrors the FIA GT image. The series stretches across seven different races for the first season with an outlook to further expand later seasons. The champion of each season will be given a unique prize that no other series in any group offers on GTP as well as being one of only a handful in the UFA to give such a prize. So join and have fun and be known as one of the best on GTP.

RULES
I. Teams & Privateers

  1. Teams
Those wanting to run a team can only run two cars at a time (this is different from IRACC overall), two main drivers and at most 3 reserve/test drivers. Teams must run the same car for each member and once said car is picked must be used for the entire season. If a team or teams feel that a car has a unfair advantage they may address the Host and UFA governing body to look into the matter and set the balance once again.

  1. Privateers
Teams also become the overall manufacture team of car being run (i.e. Neptune Racing Ford) and if needed provide the appropriate privateer with information.

II. Start of season
Preseason testing will start this week (April 19th and 20th) at three locations each running any where from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Spa (Dry & Wet), SSR 5, and Côte d'Azur will be the three locations to test the cars at. Times for these will be determined by those hosting said test. All joining racers do not need to be present at test, rather these test are for conducting and making sure all cars are on equal level. This is to ensure that race one and beyond are fun and action packed with no one team or privateer feeling their car hasn't been given a fair chance at wins and points.

III. Races
A. Practice
Practice will consist of a 25 minute session that allows all racers to feel out and get a grasp for the track as well as do final fine tuning of cars.

B. Qualifying
Qualifying will last 20 minutes, no tuning can be done during this time and any seen will gain a penalty for the driver. Cars on an outing lap must stay off the racing line and watch out for those on hot laps. All tire compounds can be used for this session but all drivers must revert back to the correct tire set up for the race. If it is found that a car is running soft after this session in the race a penalty will be given.

C. Race
Races will be rolling start with drivers in order as qualified. All mics must be off to maintain clear connection and try to prevent driver drop outs. It is recommended that all drivers finish the race, to get points drivers must at least complete 75% of the race (as well as obviously finishing in the points position). If a driver has been lapped, the driver must move aside and let lead lap racing drivers through. Head lamps must be on at all times and when coming upon a lapped car, the lead car should flash the high beams to let the lapped car be aware. Everyone must pit at least once and all cars have the choice between Racing hard and racing medium compounds. Make sure you pit properly. This means entering at a cruising speed, and exiting in a manner that will not damage the fluency of the oncoming traffic or causing conflict. We recommend entering and exiting within the boundary lines.

What cars are we using? It won't let me look at the document.

Ya, if you can't make the document public (I know nothing about google docs) then just give us a quick list, no fancy stuff, just what we need

He will get it sorted out.

I'm sure he will, do you know if this will be race cars or street cars? I'm curious if he's going for the mish mosh of race cars or the real life gt3 cars street counterparts tuned to race cars... Oh the options!

Depending on dates and times I should be up for at least half of the races, need to know when we race though..

Well we race every friday. I would like to make it a regional event where we can have three different regions racing.

Oh, I see..
For now, I can't say much about the other weeks, but if start-time is reasonable I'll be there for next weekend

Well there may be issues with series overlapping each other, but since this is part of a ladder system that should iron out those issues.

Well for now if you want to join let me know.

I want to join yes, but it's unsure how many races I can do. I need to decide a car.. Maybe the Ferrari

Well like I said if you plan on joining do so in the format on post two of this thread. Also I don't know if I will run a team or privateer. However, I am more inclined to run privateer and just trade between me and the reserve/second driver. Since I wont be able to fully drive the season as well due to new obligations coming up this June.

Forgot to put them in, but since it is mirroring the actual FIA system or more so ADAC it will be the Gallardo, Z06 and 2012 GTR

That's what i thought, just wanted to be sure. I'll sign up formally when I gt home

I don't know if you will have problems with that, but can we make it a 2 day event? Say we have qualifying on day 1 and race on day 2.. If it's possible at least there's 90% bigger chances that I can race all races.. Explanation will follow when I'm not using my phone for this

OK, here we go:

I'm 16, which means I still live at home.

My parents are divorsed, so every second weekend I'm at my dad's place.

I'm participating in another series taking part every second week (weeks where I'm at my mom's place)

I'm only allowed to play games for max. 1 hour each day

In order to gain time for the other series, I've made an agrement which means I only play 45 mins. every day those weeks.

And, sadly, this means events lasting too much over 45 mins are (mostly) not possible for me.

This is one of those events. I could make it a two day thing, but it will be tough for me and others I think.

After a few laps at Suzuka, I'm thinking either the Lamborghini or the Mclaren... Also do the team names have to be real? Or can we make it up

Well, anyway, if the start time is reasonable for me I can be there for about half of the number of races.. What time were you thinking of starting?

I just got asked to look at this to see if I was interested, and looks like there's also a team racing aspect too.

LMS, aren't you going to start everyone at the karting level?

If he is, then there's no way this will happen next weekend! I think I saw before that he said those who join this season are grandfathered in, those who want to join the following seasons have to be picked up by a team/work their way up.

At least thats what I've gathered...
