If you don't know what I mean, the DFGT has arms that allow you to attach it to a table. The arms have removable blocks on them, and my table was too thick, so I took mine off and left them on the table, next to my PS3. Well a friend of the family is staying with us, and happened to throw one of the extension blocks away.

Anyways, as much as it pains me to ask, would anybody out there happen to have a spare that they could send me? I would gladly (....well, you know what I mean) pay for one, but I've looked on Logitech's site and couldn't find them. I also looked for 3rd (or 4th, what ever) party replacement parts, and again, came up with nothing.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I moved my wheel into my room, and the desk in here is much thinner than the table out in the living room, so I needed to put the blocks back on.

I looked around inside and out, but I don't have anything that's remotely close in size, and to make one the same size as the plastic block wouldn't exactly be easy. I thought about it, but I don't have any of the tools required.

The only other option that I've been able to come up with would probably ruin the desk, so that's a no go. (Bolting a 2x2 or 2x4 to the desk so it's thick enough, but this is my computer desk as well. =/)

There has to be something in your house that can do the trick.

Some common household items you could possibly use:
Pencil Sharpner

Lego Brick

Also, avoid modding your desk at all. That should be the very, very last resort.

Hmmm...I keep looking through things but I'm still coming up empty. I will continue to look around, though. I have a saw and some sand paper, so if nothing else I'll try to cut a piece long enough to go across both arms and let you know if it worked, but it just seems a bit too thick. We'll see.

Edit: Well, I couldn't find the saw, but I did check the thickness and I was right, it's just too thick. I'll bring a board to my cousin's house tomorrow and cut it to be 10" long and about 3" wide. It's an inch thick, so it should work alright.

Edit 2: So it turns out that the amount of space between the desk and clamp is so minimal that a piece of paper folded over 5 times was enough to fill the gap. Thank you much for your time 1241Penguin, I greatly appreciate it.

I had trouble mounting the X-Box wheel onto the thin metal stand of my race rig for the same reason. I found some of that very hard cardboard and cut out squares and layered them till the thickness was right. Then I glued them all together with Epoxy resin Glue. Cheap easy fix. Doesnt look much but its under your desk :~/

Tip: go a bit thicker than you need it will give a bit. The give actually helps the foot bite in and because the cardboard isnt as slippy as hard plastic I found it actually gripped better than the G25 clamps on the same piece of steel. I now put a bit under each G25 clamp and have loads of velcro on the top. Guess the velco isnt an option on your Desk though!

Your friend needs to call Logitech and order the part. The phone number is on their site.

Have you tried a hardware store or a Lowes or Home Depot for a chunk of scrap wood? A small piece of 1 inch plywood is all you'd need to fill the gap. They have lots of scrap and will help you out if you ask. Take the other block with you and just ask if they have any scrap wood that size. Then duct tape it onto the clamp.

It's a very easy solution.

A small section (width of the clamps) of 2x4 would work too. Probably about a foot long?
