Ugliest Sedan/Saloon Nomination thread!

It looks aaaaangry! Weird hood strakes and mismatched body lines make the car look even worse, and the rear roofline doesn't work with the design, either. And if you think it looks bad from this picture, you should see it in person.

I think it is the whole point at which it begins to look like a vibrator with side-skirts that it gets ugly. A truly horrible follow-up to the lovely DS and SM...

I've got to go with YSSMAN here, that is one incredibly untasteful design right there.

No, thats not ugly. Nope, nien, no. Its very, very, conservative. Just not ugly.

Also, the Talon isn't exactly a looker either.

...i know there are plenty more but i think i will nominate this model of granada as the ugliest and the best reason i can come up with is that its about as ugly as a rhinos butt

I like the way it looks. I don't see mismatched body lines. I could almost see a big "Mercedes" logo in the grille, if it had an unstraked hood. Nay.

Serria? Well, it was run-of-the-mill styling for cars of it's day. Looks like an Escort, or a 5-door Fox-body Mustang, or, as I like to think, an overgrown Hachiroku. Also Nay.

BMW 7? It's grown on me. also Nay.

Add the Nay-vote for the Gloria/Cedric/M45 (Sorry for the Con-Fuga-sion) to that list, and we're good.

EDit: Incidentally, Doug's post adds a bit more to the definition of sedan. Is a Mazda RX-8 considered a sedan? And can't sedans be hatchbacks? What about the Mondeo Hatchback? Chevy Malibu Maxx? VW Golf GTI? Renault VelSatis?

DAMNATION! That's one of the best looking 4-door sedans ever produced. I'd place that only a few notches behind the E39 5-series, an all-time favorite of mine.

Funny how much personal tastes differ, I wouldn't class that Impala as a contende for ugliest saloon car ever, but it's in no way a good looking car imo. It looks far too plain, and thoes front bumpers are horrible, sticking out that far. But it's still leagues ahead of some saloon cars out there.

Why not, it's his nomination. Just because you don't think it's blatantly ugly, RedRum has stated that he does, nominations shouldn't be vetted in this way, if it's questionable as to weather it's a saloon car or not sure someone has to decide but as long as it fits the car category which in this case it does, it should stand. Why is his different opinion any less worthy than yours of the Edsel Pacer, I'm sure someone thought that was a good looking car at some point.
