Ugur Sahin Design has created the Corvette Z03 Concept, a futuristic Corvette with design cues from past Ferraris as well as European influences. The unique bodywork is constructed entirely of carbon fiber that drops the weight of the vehicle by 100 pounds. Three engine packages are available, including a twin-turbo system that helps the 7.0-liter V8 produce 750 horsepower. The interior features unique gauges, dashboard, and custom Recaro seats.

While currently just a concept, Ugur Sahin Design plans on building a production vehicle and hope to sell 100 examples of the Z03 in 2009.

Can't wait to see a production version...

failfailfailfailfail. Damn, it looks more like an ugly Ferrari than a vette. I LOVE those side windows though.

The front does look like a cross between a Ferrari 360 and a Corvette Stingray, and the rear looks like crap, too much blank space and too upright.

They WERE trying to make a C3, but it ended up being a 599.

I dont' know if this project will make it off the ground, though.

As a Corvette fan I can appreciate their take on the overall shape of the car, but it just doesn't seem quite right. I'd have to see an actual production prototype to make a good call on it, but overall, I don't find it disagreeable.

C-3! C-3! C-3!

The wheels are questionable, but the design is very clean and very much what the C3 would have looked like if designed today. I like it a lot.

I don't care what any of you say--this thing is fantastic. This is a Vette I'd like to own. Kudos to the designer for doing a brilliant job.

Not a Corvette.

Turbo chargers? European styling cues? Where is the big, bad, American icon big punch for cheap that we all know and love?

You can go and build a great GT with all the fancy Euro type stuff, but please don't call it a Corvette if it isn't one.

...but the Corvette has always had resemblances to the Italians. Most obvioulsy the tail lights...

I'd say that has English roots?

+1

And also, please make it look halfway decent. That is wretched. Though, I must admit that, since one person loves it, maybe they've achieved their goal: an extremely small portion of the population who simply must get one.

I counted 4 of us that love it, 1 person who likes half of it, and 1 person who doesn't find it "disagreeable". :sly:

And again, this overall design of the car is just pure awsomeness. There isn't a bad angle on that car.

So half of you thinks it looks like a Ferrari, and half thinks it's ugly. How can people have such different opinions on it, unless they think Ferrari is ugly? What specifically do people not like about it?

Did you count right? Ive found 2 others that hate it...

That thing (corvette as well as that ferrari) look like pieces of cr@p.

1 person who likes half of it,

That wouldn't be me by any chance?

I wasn't counting the hates, just the likes. And yes, the half was you. :D

Well, it does not bear much of a resemblance to the C6 Corvette and the tires are peculiar. The design also looks more like the 250GTO, an entirely different car, and many fans of the car do not approve of that, the Corvette being an American sportscar. It may seem like too much of a departure from the current design, as already said, and it is less well-executed than similar Ferrari and Alfa Romeo designs.

I could go on, but that would be more off-topic than this post already is.

I think he could make the front a little more Corvette-ish. Personally, I think it should be a bit wider; the rear, less tall; and the nose, a shade flatter.

Those headlights will need a fix.
