Welcome to the UK Grand Touring Championship


This championship is for all British cars in GT4.

So that means, every single car you can buy at the UK country car dealer or cars from the UK which can be bought at any used car dealer.


Season start:

We'll start January 7th 2006 👍

Cars:

Cars will be devided into classes,

UKLM class -> British racing cars
UK GT1 -> 500hp < road cars
UK GT2 -> 300-500HP road cars
UK GT3 -> >300HP road cars


Tracks:

We will be driving on every track which really exists so that means every track at World Circuits.

Race duration:

Rounds can consist of hotlaps, race with a time limit or endurace races with pitstops.

Races will be done in Arcade Mode

Deadline:

Hotlap races will be lasting one week, endurances and time limit races 2 weeks.


Rules:

OLR rules:

-No T-times will be posted to keep the exitement as high as possible 👍
-no wall touching
-no wall riding
-no shortcuts
-no grass or track cutting of every kind
-no hybrids
-no cheating
-save your replay
(-lap verification)*

*Lap verification will not be needed as I expect no one to cheat 👍 It CAN be asked though in very suspicious cases.Shots by a camera should do it.

Modifications:

There will be NO modifications been done to the car AT ALL!

Oil changes and chassis refresher plans though are allowed


Drivers:

You can take part by yourself or in a 2 or 3 man team 👍

If you participate with a team, please use a team name :)

Team info: Formed in July 2005 TER started out as a small 3 man team with an ambition for driving European cars, now, nearly 6 months on, the team has blossomed into a multi-million pound business with a Factory in Sussex and a testing facility in Germany. The team see's the UKGTC as a great event to get the team name off the ground making this series the first series that the team has entered under the Team Euro Racers name.

I'm definitely interested, particularly if we can organise the start of this to coincide with the finish of the World GT series - time pressures might very well keep me out otherwise as I've only got enough free hours for two race series a week :(.

The class I'd be interested in would be UKGT2, with a particular wish to sit in the drivers seat of an Aston Martin (altho a TVR would be just as acceptable, just not as pretty :D).

Just a quick thought that's struck me. The TVR Cerbera is a cracking car that is only available second hand. Will you be permitting this one in the line-up with an oil change and a chassis refresh without considering that a breach of the "No Mods" rule?
 
Hi, me and GT_Fan2005 have decided to go for the Jaguar XJR-9, under the Team Euro Racers name.
 
Yep, UKLM for us, just one question, i can only think of the Bentley and Jag as the UKLM cars, will there be more than one entry for these cars to make it more competitive?

Also is it going to be Arcade mode or GT mode, nothing said in the first post.

What do you mean by lap verification?

I can take pictures of every corner on the replay with my digicam but I don't have a Max Drive to send you the entire replay.

Hotlaps will be GT mode, endurances Arcade, but like I said: More info will follow.

Same thing applies to the Prodrive-built Impreza rally cars and Ralliart-built Lancer rally cars.
 
Yeah I know about Prodrive... (12 miles from the factory in Banbury) But Ralliart are British?! Sweet, I may just give this championship some consideration...

Well, I was thinking along the lines of 'The Bentley Boys' which has an importance in Bentley history.

It will be a 3 man team if anyone else wants to join.

I would choose the Cerbera Speed 12, but without a wing the handlind is dire. :indiff:

Maybe an Elise, or the XKR... :D
