UK GTC: Sign-in and information

After some testing, i'll take a TVR Tamora, although if I can find a Griffith 500 in the used car lot I may enter that instead. 👍

Also, can I request a track? Suzuka West Course. :D It's all the best bits of Suzuka in one neat package. :lol:

I'm definitely interested, particularly if we can organise the start of this to coincide with the finish of the World GT series - time pressures might very well keep me out otherwise as I've only got enough free hours for two race series a week :(.

The class I'd be interested in would be UKGT2, with a particular wish to sit in the drivers seat of an Aston Martin (altho a TVR would be just as acceptable, just not as pretty :D).

Just a quick thought that's struck me. The TVR Cerbera is a cracking car that is only available second hand. Will you be permitting this one in the line-up with an oil change and a chassis refresh without considering that a breach of the "No Mods" rule?

Well, that all depends on whether Daan or Famine want to join in. We could either be DAFT Cars (Daan, Appie and Sukerkin Touring Cars) or FAST Cars (Famine, Appieand Sukerkin Touring Cars) :lol:.

Or simply, Aston Martin Racing ... that rings a bell :D.

Well, if there's one circuit... the Nurburgring has to be in. Suzuka west too, i loove that track.

Hmm, I'm thinking if I will join this one. I'm busy again plus I'm still in the ESES, which will start again in January, so I must see if I can handle this one as well.

PtF - Is it acceptable to have a team running cars in different classes? Like... two drivers in Astons and two drivers in, say, E-Types?

Too late, thanks to Famine's used car database I found I was just one day away from one. (A day I spent driving my would-be DBRS9 around Apricot Hill. :D ) The only problem is it's purple. :indiff:

No problems,mate. If you're serious about OLR tho' I'd heavly recommend getting a file-handling device of some description.

You'll eventually want to be in a series that requires replay verification and, like Famines shown, they're really cheap now (I paid about £30 for my X-Port a couple of years ago :().
 
Yeah, I will look into it. Still, I now have a worrying affection for my purple Griffith. It lets me be all girly and drive my purple convertible around. :lol:

Plus, with me driving at least, it can beat a DB9 around Deep Forest. :scared:

Ain't nothing girly about a purple TVR mate :D. Manly TVR'ness overrides any colour prejudice - I even like Yellow ones :lol:.

Mmm ... interesting ... can a stock Griffith beat a stock DB9 around Deep Forest? Ack! Now you've done it! I'll have to go and run both now! Oh the horror :holds back of hand to forehead: :).

I've been quiet for a while, so you may not know but I am somewhat associated with a love of TVR's :D.

The only reason I'm driving an Aston in the World GT Series is that a TVR wasn't available until after I'd chosen my ride :o. Then again, that DB9 has done me proud so far :hopes he's not tempting fate:.
 
Well, it's marginally faster than my time with the DB9. 1'30.589 for the Griffith compared with 1'30.598 for the Aston, both rather scrappy laps. However, the Griffith was with a DS2 and the Aston with a wheel, so the Griffith could be even faster.

If you mean that one the same team runs in different classes, then, yes, that is allowed because points will be given like this:

10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for each class, not like 1.UKLM-10, 2.UKGT3-8


By this way, I think the LM and GT1 drivers won't beat the competition so easily :)
