Oddly, you don't need to distribute them at all. Anyone can pick a track from their favourites and there it is.

I think it might be a good idea to get the tracks round anyway, so that everyone has a chance to give them a whirl. I'll come up with a plan for that too :D

How about, everyone create, say, 6 tracks, then we arrange them to set a track on-line and stay on-line for one week, everyone downloads it, rinse, repeat, etc.
 
Bit more testing today. Tuned the Prowler. Had to give it a gearbox as it had four gears, none of which were any good. It's sitting at 475PP which is higher than the CZ-3, but it needs absolutely ragging to get within even half a second of the Mitsubishi at HSR. The Prowler will turn in mid 1'15s if you're very careful but I'm not sure it'd go any lower without tuning it with parts that I can't remove.

On the plus side, it's good fun now. Handles very nicely and will drift with a bit too much throttle, but it's not uncontrollable. Unfortunately that means online it's probably going to be a bit more slidy, so I'll have to test that.

It's also a lethargic beast on the straights. It's making about 50bhp more than the CZ-3 but is probably slower in a straight line...

Need to practice in the two Toyotas next. I think if the Prowler needs careful control the FT-86 may be out of the running since it's pretty oversteery even when stock.

It is, but it doesn't handle anywhere near as amusingly as it did in GT4.

For the purposes of this competition, that's probably a good thing. Give it a go, if only for a laugh :D

What PP is your CZ-3 at to run 1:15s?

All the cars on my short list (which should be about the right hp/tonne according to Famine's list) I've tested so far are too quick on sports soft tyres without even doing an oil change :indiff:

Obviously I need to aim lower with my car choice but is everyone else still running higher than 1:15 since the 1.06 update?
 
I'm just popping in to say I love seeing the EZGT system alive and well :D. Always some of the best, closest "OLR" back in the day, and I imagine it'd be even more fun now that people can literally race against each other 👍

About 468, and that's on sports mediums as it's way too quick on sport softs and I'm loathe to take too much speed off it as it's on the cusp of feeling a bit slow in a straight line. It still needs more stuff taking off to make it slow enough to not duck under 1:15s. It's my current choice but I've not tested two of my cars yet.

Indeed. You must run your HSR lap on Sports Softs.

I've got the PPs down on all my cars, detuning them all as I find the fastest reliable lines at HSR. There is a fast line around the last corner which isn't the inside, for example - all cars pick up speed from that. The line into the first tight banked left is entirely car dependent. Some cars drift though it everytime with a dab on the brakes, some cars fight you all the way and laps can vary by 0.5 of a second just from that corner. Some cars are fine there and a bugger to drive through the S. By driving all of them, you find lots of alternatives to try with other cars, some of which work, some do not.
 
Are non-removable parts, specifically weight reduction, allowed and you're just advising against using them because if your car is too fast then it could be difficult to detune it and you may have to buy a new one? Basically I want to add lightness not power and then use ballast to bring the lap time down if required.
 
I'd advise backing up your save before you do that.

It's all good, I'm brewstered from all the duping so I can just buy a new car anyway :dopey:

You have to remember that scousers have a genetic disorder that prevents them from not doing every scam under the sun which means my duping is really a symptom of my disability so you're persecuting my because I'm a minority...and that's a hate crime!

I take great offence at any connection with Birkenhead, they really are a lower class scumbags. At least our scallys try to crack a joke before they stab you.

Aw nuts. I was confused by the bit in the regs telling you to buy sports hard, mediums and softs. Assumed they were interchangeble in the same way the tuning bits were. Back to the tuning then!

I've got a '99 GPX if you want it. I'll keep checking for a '94 anyway.

I tried the XK Luxury Coupe tonight. Got it down to a 1'15.246 so I might give it another try.
 
I'm going for the MRS-S Edition '99.

It's the closest thing to what will eventually be my first car, even if that may be 2-3 months away...

While I'm in the thread my chosen car will be a Honda S2000 '06. It only has about 210 bhp/tonne but is easily in the 1:15's on sport softs and may need slightly less power after I've given it a proper run around a few tracks.

I was hoping to use the premium Esprit but it's too quick even with power restrictor and ballast.​

My left bollock has more torque than the S2000.

I'll be driving the Land Rover Range Stormer. After tuning it more of less randomly, I got down to 1:15.3xx, so with some fiddling I should be able to hit regular 1:15.0xx. It won't be black though. I'm not a drug dealer.

I believe that should be you're.

So, finalised my MR-2 (also, the older ones aren't hairdressers, but they are also significantly more to insure...), it has a mere 215bhp. Quite slidey if I'm not careful so going to tinker with the Suspension and Camber/Toe.

Maybe do 20 laps of Eiger K to get it suitably dirty, seeing as we will be nowhere near Chelsea....
