Any reason why Red Bull are hosting this event rather than Mercedes who have the Erebus V8, SLS AMG and AMG F1 cars? I know Vodafone are out of the picture in V8s but, was sure Mercedes cars would have run this event.
Prrobably due to the fact the Erebus Motorsport V8 Supercar isn't a Factory Mercedes car. It uses a Mercedes E-Class as it's base but that is where the connections end.
No suprize that Red Bull are giving it a shot really.
