the only possible way to paint something ultraviolet would be to create a pigment that was gave off an ultraviolet wavelength (a.k.a. not visible). Thus, unlike the pigments blue, green, or yellow. You would see an object that would be considered "gray material" by most people not a black or a white, and object that took up space but did not reflect light.
Black is the absence of color emission. Usually caused by an object absorbing all of the visible light hits it

in order for it to be seen as grey it would have to reflect light that we can see. UV light is light, but as we can't see it it will stay black for us, although for bats, who can perceive UV light, it will be some kind of grey.

I actually already know the answer, I just felt like messing with a few heads.
There AM such a thing as uv paint - since it's just another colour, or part of the EM Spectrum, all you'd have to do was adjust the pigmentation until it absorbed all but 250nm. Lots of things are already reflective in the 250nm range. And most of them are transparent...

but something that is transparent and only reflects UV light can hardly absorb all other light, as you said:

colour is something that we have invented by ourselves. in reality there are only lightwaves. these lightwaves have no colour, only a certain wavelength.
we see colour, because in our eyes we have three different so called "cones", who are sensitive to three different wavelengths of light. these are the wavelengths of what we call red, green and blue.
our brain then combines the information about how much light of these wavelengths enters our eyes and then creates the sensation of colour for us.

I remember a few years back on the news. A Chinese, or Korean, scientist created this new machine that shot out Ultraviolet light, or some other form of light, at your body. Your body would disappear, but it would reflect your bones. I thought it was some new Xray machine he built. He turned it on, and his body disappeared but you could see his bones that were magenta in color. He thought it could be used to as a airport security device. I always thought if he can make the flesh disappear, he could make the bones disappear too. I though this man invented the worlds first cloaking device. But, I never heard about it again.
Does anbody remember this?
Oh, ultraviolet paint means objects disappear.
no it does not mean objekts dissappear...if the story was true, then the scientist was probably dead by now because too much UV light can cause cancer.
but the story is not true, there is no such thing as a cloaking device.
you can built an x-ray and look through something, but only if you use a camera that enables you to view the effect.
the human eye can't see UV light and therefore, even if UV light went straight through the flesh and was only reflected by the bones, we would still see nothing. so this cloaking device would only work in a very dark room, but you don't need a cloaking device if you can't see anything anyway.
