Umm, anyone want to challenge me?

Just wondering if anyone would like to drive against me. :dopey:

I have one condition, though:

Can we please not drive on any of the dark tracks? Y'know, like Deep Forest, Grand Valley II, etc? My tv is messed up, and I can't see anything on those courses. :guilty:

I'll use any car. Even FF, if you like that sort of thing.

I don't have a capture card, so I'm going to try to use my MiniDV. Don't worry, I've seen all those videos where the camera seems to be mounted about 30 feet away from the screen.hehe I plan to do better. :sly: I'll need a host, too. :ouch: That's it, I guess.
 
I'll drive against you. Unless you dont want me to, or if you want to race on cote d azur or complex string. I prefer if we race deep forest(not deep forest II) I want to test me noobieness.

I've yet to see a thread such as this go by without you being open to a challenge :)

maybe you guys could do one of those 3way challenge things,
 
I'd be open to a 3 way challenge. I can barely see anything on Deep Forest. Can't drive it. :ouch:

I guess I could do Monaco.

Complex String? Oooh, I'm horrible there. :scared: I've never even had a clean run. I could try it anyway, though.

Anyone have ideas on a car to use? I'm open to anything.
 
Well, Im only about 53% of the way done so I dont have all the best cars in the game, but we can do a Siliva thing or FD,FC thing or a Trueno thing, or a full open thing, where you just use whatever car you are most comfortable in.
And for track(s) we can do midfield or midfield II, or each of us can pick a track of our choice, and we drift each one of them.
 
this blows alien testicles.. i have a crazy EVO IV that wants to murder all of you but i have a capture card w/ no way of getting PS2 to me Card...:(

I can't really PM anyone. I didn't have a particular person I wanted to challenge. I just wanted to see if anyone wanted to drive against me or not. This is open to anyone.

Why don't you select one for yourself? PM couple people and see what they say? Surely you can do that 👎

Exactly. We're not being mean. Just select 5 or 10 members, PM them and see what happens. Sure it's easier to do a thread about it. But if that's the case then we should have a standard challenge thread that can be recycled to save bandwith.

This is all about saving bandwith on a server that we don't pay for. I pay 4$ a month, but that's hardly covering anything. :dopey:

I don't even know who I could pick. I've been here since last summer, but I only know of the more high-profile people who are very good. Why bother challenging them? :dopey:

It looks like we've got a four-way match setup already(nissandrifter, Driftnewb110, nightkids4ever, and myself), possibly with some sort of Silvia as the chosen car. Once we settle on a track, I'll delete the thread to save bandwidth. 👍

This competition is going to be pretty big. I have a local friend who wants to compete, but he isn't registered here. We'll take care of that before the competition, though.

That makes five of us. Would it be a big deal if we used different cars? It would help tell us apart. If we can use different cars, would it help if they had the same drivetrain layout? I just figure it would help with scoring.

Right now, we're thinking about just using various Silvias.

What judges can I ask about this?

PM Delphic Reason

It's a good idea to set specific drivetrain and tires if possible. Going FR against AWD makes it hard to judge.

Okay, I'll send DR a PM and see about getting some firm arrangements set.

I agree with the layout thing. Sometimes you can get a lot more angle out of an AWD. Even with an FF, it's almost cheating, since you can do pretty much whatever you want, and it's nowhere near as hard.
