It looks like my ancient PS2 finally took a dump on me. I'll pick up a new one in the next day or two and then I'll have an entry ready. I already know the shot I want to take.

This is just a general question, but I notice that some people are submitting "full sized" images that have actually been scaled down. Since this is the "Un-edited" competition, I don't see the point. Is there something I'm missing? It's not a complaint or anything, I just feel like I'm missing something.

by "Un-edited" we mean, "no using photoshop or other photo editors." But you must understand, photos saved from GT4 are 1024x whatever standard. which would be WAY to big to post here. So, we submit "scaled down" photos linked to the fullsized photos

I think you misunderstand my question. I don't mean the thumbnail images. I mean the full-sized images they link to. Some have been resized. Or at least I think they might have been. I noticed a couple of them go to images that are 1024x768. I was thinking some were smaller, but now I think I might have been looking at images that were scaled down by the imagehosting site.

Well as of recently lordferius has been posting really tiny pictures. I cant exactly speak for the rest of us, but with unedited pictures, smaller images show fewer imperfections than the full sized images.

EDIT I think i should have something for this by tonight/tomorrow morning

To answer your question I will quote the first post:

I thought it might be something like that, but I wanted to ask instead of just assuming.

Has Lord Nicon said and right, the smaller the image the less imperfections are shown, but don't get too small, otherwise none will bother to vote because none will see whats on the image.

Also, rescaling down a picture can sharpen up the picture itself, making it more sharp and pleasant. Another good thing is that you don't need to scroll up and down to see the entire picture. Seeing the whole picture enhances the picture view, more than having a too big of a picture on a screen.
