Unable to comment in news page

Title says it all. When I scroll to most bottom part of a news page, I were asked to log in. That message presists even after login. Why?

They are different logins your forum acount won't work on the news page you will have to make another there.

Think of it like a second website. Just stick in your email and what you want your name to be for that comment and it will work.

I have the same problem as the OP.

I can make a reply to another comment. But I can't find a way to create a new comment.

I also wonder if it's the same login as for the forum; if you try to register to leave a comment on the news item page using your usual GTP username, it tells you that the name is already in use, and if you log in you are taken to your normal GTP account page.

Any hints?

^ I've now deleted all cookies and the browser cache as suggested in another thread. I also tried from a different computer that has never "touched" GTP before. None of this helped.

BTW, I'm using IE8 in the unlikely case that's a problem...

Hey! Somebody just did something. When you are logged in to GTP, there is now a form for leaving comments 👍

I did make some adjustments about an hour ago which should resolve this issue, glad to know you have already noticed the results.
