After recently receiving 10 infraction points, the forum isn't letting me comment on news. Is this ban permanent or will I be able to post again soon? It seems fairly harsh just for linking to a rickroll.
I'm not aware that a 10 point infraction prevents you from posting as you could before. My guess is commenting was disabled, but, again, that is just a guess.

At the bottom of the comments there is the message; "please register or sign in to comment." When I select sign in, it brings me to the infractions page.
Certain features of the news blog may be a bit wonky as I've started caching those pages to disk to help deal with increased site traffic. You can try logging out of your forum account, clearing your cookies and browser cache, and then give it another go.
Hi Jordan, i've noticed "wonkiness" in the news threads too, i can typically only add a comment to the latest, and "reply" to someone else's post on the next newest. For older threads the Reply link is replaced by a hash # and nothing happens when i click. I can deal, not a complaint but just wondering if this is a general thing or just me!
I doubt that's just you, and could definitely be caused by a stale cache on the server. I have closed comments on a lot of the older posts, though, so if you don't see any reply box or a message asking you to sign in, that's what happened.

Your caching may have broken it, I can't post either. Says my 1st post needs to be approved by a moderator on GTPlanet Forums. Seriously, I've over 500 posts, 0 infractation points!
