I hear some among us have to stop using voice-chat (until the voice-breaks), as you get kicked almost immediately, thanks to those kids who mess around with their duped X2010s online:ouch:

I once got kicked from a room, just for stating my age after being asked about it (which appears to be a little younger than the official maturity age among the host in question)👎

State your own experiences.

The trick with an X2010 is to drive it properly ;)

I don't use a mic, and i don't drive like a noob (i'm not saying you do btw!) so people don't guess my age and i can have some good heated races without getting kicked.

i am 16, no problems with using voice chat so far

Joined a lobby with some clearly older guys, didn't get any stick and gave them a good race, most of the time its them ramming me off the road

It's such a shame, I'm 13. I have a decent voice, race clean and don't use the X2010 online, I don't like being frowned upon. When I am more mature than a vast majority of the adult racers online.

I got kicked for stating my age.

Who states their age online? That sounds like it could be pretty annoying. You sound like this:

"I'm Fourteen. I feel the need to state my age because if I race kind of sucky I'm just a kid but if I win I'm a child prodigy."

Age is probably one of the most boring ways to identify oneself among a group of strangers, besides someone stating that they are female.

The host was asking everone their ages, only knew why afterwards:ouch:

I only chat if it's necessary, it's pretty annoying when you don't have a keyboard.

And no, I try to be as clean a racer as I can.

I'm 15 but my mic doesn't work, so need to get a new one.
I don't use my X1 online because I don't enjoy racing it.

Neither do I, my favourite is my 106, perfect at my Nurburgring Track Day!

I've only had 1 out of 2 successful track days at the Nurburgring.
My first one was great, hardly anybody joined my second one (only one person joined).

I won't be stating what I call mine, people will get it mixed up with the one I host.

On another topic, I'm making a lot of friends doing this.

'Clean Free Run' would work. Or GTPlanet free run etc.

Would "Any Car Free Run" work?
Or would that stop people from joining because of X1 danger?

I can't add too many people, I will get mixed up with traders.

i tend not to tell people, I'm 16 but i don't think that age should be used to descriminate, not bragging but i have raced in a junior series in a 1980's mini for 3 yaesr, if anything most of the time i'm the one with the experience

Car racing?

Seems when I'm online there is a distinct lack of mics :ouch: .

I end up not using the mic, as I'm pretty sure I'll unintentionally annoy someone!

Poor car :( . I'm hoping to get a Mini as my first car, but hopefully it'l have windows:tup:

thats unfortunetly how they have to run, if you see short oval racing none of the cars have windows(bad when it rains) for saftey. I'd say get one, they are great fun to drive

But don't you need to be 18 to drive?
Also, "Car Man" :D

17 for the road as far as i know, but you can get a full arce lisence at 16 and can stary juniour racing (these minis, the national version and autograss class1) at just 10. Oh, well that was a bit of a stupid choce on my part, but i was late one night when i first found GTP so not much thinking was going on

Yh i suppose if you roll you don't want to have to roll the window down to get out! Apart from the obvious weight shedding is your car stock?
