Yes, that's what mine says.@Masscot does yours work with OpenComposite_acs (acs.exe)?

So, if I understand correctly, you can access toolkit in game using Oasis, like we used to with OpenComposite.OK, having had a play with the toolkit menus I can confirm that everything seems to be working, even foveation.
Yes, using the 'down' arrow with my ctrl modifier. The overlay settings menu appears exactly like it did with WMR (and is just as horrible to navigate). So, if I understand correctly, you can access toolkit in game using Oasis, like we used to with OpenComposite.
It is my turn to be puzzled, as I cannot get that menu to appear in AC using Oasis.Yes, using the 'down' arrow with my ctrl modifier. The overlay settings menu appears exactly like it did with WMR (and is just as horrible to navigate).
I really need to change activation (and navigation) away from the arrow keys because at the moment those navigate the menus but also make my VR viewpoint fly around if I'm in F7 cam.
Very weird indeed. I can't see anything obvious in your SteamVR settings. It is my turn to be puzzled, as I cannot get that menu to appear in AC using Oasis.
Probably some setting somewhere, at least now, I know it can be done.
It is probably not a setting in AC, as the menu does not appear in any other games either, it used to with WMR, so not specific to AC.
I know it works because I can see it in AC Evo, which is different from all other of my games as it runs OpenXR native. So it by pass OpenVR in Steam VR.
Something in my SteamVR setup is blocking that menu for me.
As mentioned before: The plot thickens.

I think I now why, I am on 24H2 and you are on 23H2.It'll be something simple somewhere
So 24H2 not only kills WMR, it also kills OpenXR?I think I now why, I am on 24H2 and you are on 23H2.
OpenXR tools is not compatible with my OS

OpenXR tools still works for me, if I do not allow it in Steam VR I can see a difference, it is access to the OpenXR toolkit ingame app that I do not have access to.So 24H2 not only kills WMR, it also kills OpenXR?
Goddamn.
Seems like I have to keep trying to block 24H2 then, just when I was about to allow it.
That is terrible news. The OpenXR toolkit makes a HUGE difference to performance.
So it's impossible for you to make changes to the OpenXR Tools settings in AC now?OpenXR tools still works for me, if I do not allow it in Steam VR I can see a difference, it is access to the OpenXR toolkit ingame app that I do not have access to.
Except for AC Evo, where I can access everything, probably because it runs native on OpenXR.
not possible now.So it's impossible for you to make changes to the OpenXR Tools settings in AC now?
I believe so, but I am not able to verify, all I know is that it looks and run better with OpenXR toolkit layer API on in SteamVR.But existing settings work?
I don't know, with WMR they were per game settings, I assume they still are, but not sure. Are they global settings, or per-game?
Can you alter the settings in AC Evo (where the menu overlap appears fine) and then they'd translate to AC?
Right, so I have been catching up with the posts on this now I am around.not possible now.

Very weird that I can see the menu and you two cannot.Right, so I have been catching up with the posts on this now I am around.
I have exactly the same settings as you and cannot see the toolkit menu.
Have tried to replicate mascots findings and settings, no change.
If I go off full screen in CM I get the 60fps as I always did.
I do get small micro judders at times.
Toolkit is definitely working as before in terms of graphics.
My conclusions are that I was happy with the settings I no longer have access to so I can ignore that.
The only thing I need to change is the pixel density which I can do on steam anyway. I also rediscovered the per game
slider which I had set to 150% before I used open composite and the toolkit so I have found my stutter for sure.
Did the oasis update.
Oh, and just to confuse things, I am still on 23H2.
Just happy it is still working and for now I'll work around the small stuff.
In my case the key sequence is not the issue since CTRL + arrow down works for Evo.Very weird that I can see the menu and you two cannot.
Maybe try turning off both modifiers and pressing every single key in sequence?
Confirmed my ctrl and arrow down but still did not open unfortunatelyFrom toolkit ui press Open log file and at bottom find circled entry. Maybe this will help.
I used to see 90.. sometimesAnother observation with SteamVR vs WMR: average session framerate is now properly recorded in CM as 90fps, whereas with WMR it would always only be 89.9fps at best, never displaying the full 90fps.
Yep, it's fantastic, isn't it?Just a Friday update on my Oasis experience, been using it for 32 hours, according to Steam.
I like the interface, as I am getting better with SteamVR, which I never used before since I came from Oculus and jump directly to Open Composite/WMR.
The performance is equal to what I had with Open Composite/WMR, at least, not lost anything.
Very happy to have made the switch, now I just enjoy my G2 without the irritations from WMR.
No idea, sorry - and I am definitely LESS PC-savvy than the average person, lol.No problems my end either. I still can't get into toolkit but I did not need to before so will leave it for now.
I do have a few micro stutters even though I am maintaining 90fps, but I think its my fault for trying to get a little extra out of it.
Both you guys are more pc savvy than me so can I ask you if my 5800x 3d cpu will bottleneck if I go from a RTX3080 to a RTX4080?
Surprisingly, my cpu runs in the high 90%s on some tracks but never goes in the red. Any thoughts?
Not saying I have the wisdom to determine what’s wrong from a distance without seeing your PC. 👨🎓 only beside fly/race simming my other interests is optimization. No problems my end either. I still can't get into toolkit but I did not need to before so will leave it for now.

I'm very happy with my 4080 but know nothing about the Radeon CPUs I'm afraid - there are benchmark websites that'll tell you if it's a good combo though, or whether you'd need to upgrade the CPU.Yeah, when I said savvy I meant I have no clue how you mod and it blows me away when I see what you and many others achieve
with this game.
I guess its easy to assume that its all easy for modders who know pc language inside out.
Never imagined you would buy a pc off the shelf as an example.
The irony is, I enjoy building the thing from scratch but still struggle managing files and folders.
Each to there own I guess.
Anyway, back on subject. Used 4080 looking better value these days and offset by selling the 3080 seems like a good swop for me.
So if you fire up your CPU and let it work, then the stuttering in AC is gone? Looks more the behavior of a very powerfull CPU with cores that’s wake up from a sleep. What CPU do you have, its maybe to do with all those modern techniques of high performance and low energy cores , Intel did introduce after HyperThreading. I do not know how this process is working, but could you shutdown those energy efficient cores permanently and doing the test?I'm very happy with my 4080 but know nothing about the Radeon CPUs I'm afraid - there are benchmark websites that'll tell you if it's a good combo though, or whether you'd need to upgrade the CPU.
Re the microstutters, my earlier theory was disproved this morning. I'd been watching YouTube and downloading a game while installing another, and a 12-car race ran butter-smooth even when unpacking and installing another game in the background, which is normally a really intensive CPU process.
The mystery continues.

Also I’m trying the test Nvidia shared memory access or SAM. For the preparation in moving to win11 in October, I noticed that SAM is now being available. What if you disable that function, my thoughts is with 32Gb of RAM and 16gb of Vram, SAM is not needed while for an old game as AC this can only be contra productive.
it does have the P(erformance) and (E)fficiency cores.i9-13900kf
