Of course i'll get pulled over. Everyone does. Even my brother in-law, who had never gotten a ticket in his life, got one for turning where you weren't supposed to (it was at the end of the year, of course.. ).

But your brother in law obviously wasn't blatantly disregarding the law just so he could act cool...

You're right, he isn't that kind of driver.

For the most part, driving fast for me isn't to look cool. It just feels good.

About five years ago, before I really got into driving, I would always question the jackasses who sped around everyone else just to get caught at the same red light. But I realised that for them, speeding isn't about getting ahead, it's about the thrill of it. They couldn't care less if they get stopped at the light - that isn't the point. But no-one will ever understand that. There's no sense even explaining it. I'm with you on this, Giancarlo.

Here in SoCal, the CHP used either Camaro, or Mustang pursuit cars. They also have three Lamborghini's, but they are most often used for presentations at schools, auto shows, racing events, etc...
Hmm, I haven't seen a single Mustang cruiser... is that more in the San Bernardino area? I have seen the Camaros on several occasions.

Speaking of Camaro cop cars, you know how they have the really short stack lamps on the roof? I've noticed that lately, even the marked Crown Vics are getting those types of lamps installed.

Now that the Camaro is not made anymore, I only see Mustangs, and an occasional Hummer2. There are Ford F-150s, too.
Wow, I haven't seen a Hummer 2, nor an F-150, but I've seen a number of last-gen Expeditions (marked cars though). I also saw a Volvo once. :)

Around the Santa Clarita area, the CHP has really started getting moter-cop happy... I see several of them almost every day now. They've also set up a speed trap in the industrial center, in a shadow spot next to one of the buildings (in the afternoon, because of the direction of the road, the sun glares straight in your eyes, and there'd be no way to see one hidden there). Clever, they are.

In a Sears nearby my house, there were a big group of these unmarked cars parked in a corner. Many of them were pickups, mostly new model F-150s.

The coolest police car i've ever seen was a black marauder. It had blue lights all over the place inside of it, and i think it even had a slight tint on the windows.
