Page 9 - Takedown
Sayuki is awake and dressed, wiping Karl's handgun with a hand towel. She cuffed the hands of Karl on the bed while sleeping. When the man wakes up, he notices that and shakes his hands.
Karl: "What's this?"
Sayuki: "I don't know that you'll wake up rather late. I don't want people who make me wait."
Karl: "Let me go."
Sayuki: "Too late, hot plate. Oh, I put a sleep-inducing drug on your drink last night. So that's why you have a long, wonderful sleep."
She raises her right hand and then the SWAT team comes out from the bathroom, aiming guns at Karl.
Sayuki: "You are under arrest under charges of kidnapping and multiple murder. The Grim Reapers Organization is officially disbanded."
Then she shows her CIA ID.
The team take out the naked Karl out of the bed.
Sayuki: "Put on some clothes. It's rather indecent to see you walking around naked along the lobby."
Karl: "Why you..."
Sayuki: "And also, I won't give my virginity to some lowlife, and trying hard person."
Agent Collins enters the room as the team forcibly put clothes on Karl.
Agent Collins: "You spent a rather hot night together, huh? But I gotta congratulate you for a job well done. Our years of investigation have finally paid off. Excellent work, Sayuki Kanonji."
Sayuki: "It's such a pleasure working with you. But it's not over yet. We have to head to Suzuka fast. We have to stop Lee Hyun Jae from executing Karl's orders of elimination of Takuma."
Agent Collins: "Right. Let's go!"
The team put Karl on a van outside the hotel. While Sayuki and Agent Collins ride in a helicopter with some SWAT members as well.

It's the 2nd to the last lap, and Takuma is still struggling to pass Lee.
Takuma: "What should I do? If I will pass him, he'll attack me! I don't want this car to be in pieces!"
However, Lee lets him pass. And then the 88C-V hits the 787B's rear, sending it off course.
Takuma: "Dammit! I have to control the car!"
Takuma feathers the throttle so as to keep the 787B from spinning out.
Takuma: "What kind of a racer are you? Are you a psycho!? And I don't like Kimchi!"
Takanori: "Aniki, what's your status?"
Takuma: "Minor damages on the car. And so far, no mechanical damages."
Takanori: "Copy that."
Then at the straight, Lee once again brakes hard. Since the two cars are too fast, Takuma brakes too and steers to avoid the maneuver, but the 787B hits 88C-V's rear and pummels off course.
Takuma: "Are you trying to kill me!?"
Takuma: "Chikushou!!!"
The final lap. Takuma attempts another passing maneuver, but to avoid being hit, he actually overtakes Lee on the outside lane and even slightly going off-course.
Takuma: "That didn't work. He just passed me again."
Then they approach the hairpin, Takuma attempts to pass Lee once more. The two cars are side by side.
Takuma: "This hairpin...
....is my last chance!!!"
Lee attempts to fishtail the 787B, but Takuma bravely steps on the accelerator but only halfway so that it won't lose control.
Takuma: "Cooperate with me, 787B! In this hairpin, I played with the accelerator a few laps back. Now, I'm using it just halfway!"
And it does, the 787B manages to evade the 88C-V's attempt by increasing its speed on that hairpin without loss of traction.
Takuma: "Yossha!!!"
Takanori: "Why?"
Takuma: "I took the lead now."
Takanori: "Great! Now hold it till the goal!"
The 787B now unleashes its true power on the straight.
Takuma: "That was dangerous... But it's fun, somehow."
The crowds cheer wildly as the legendary race machine crosses the finish line first.
While decelerating, Takuma slides the Lexan window open and puts his right arm out. He shows a thumbs up. Seeing this, Takanori does the same thing.
Takanori: "That's the signature Kanonji thumbs up!!! Do it with pride!"
Before crossing the line, however, a big SWAT team van blocks the 88C-V and then the SWAT team surrounds it. Lee comes out of the car and then is handcuffed.
Takanori: "I wonder what's going on? Why arrest a racer here?"
While cruising in victory, Takuma sheds a tear.
Takuma: "I did it, Otoosan. And your car is so much fun to drive! Thank you very much!"
The sun shines very brightly during the rest of the day.

The next day, Takuma visits the Kanonji mausoleum at the cemetery. Not only he laid flowers on Ben's grave, but also he laid down the gold trophy and medal. He takes a brief moment to close his eyes and pray silently.
After that, he looks at the framed picture of Ben.
Takuma: "Otoosan, these are for you. I piloted your car to victory once again..."
When he goes out, he looks back.
Takuma: "Farewell, Otoosan... I hope you taught everyone your life lessons in heaven."
When he walks away, Ben, in his spirit form, shows a smile as he looks on his adopted son walking away.
At the evening, Takuma is at Kaido's tuning shop, assessing the damages that the 787B had received.
Takuma: "These are such nice battle scars."
Kaido: "Don't worry, these are rather easy to fix. So, any news on that opponent?"
Takuma: "It turned out that he is working with a shady underground racing organization which is the mastermind of all race car driver disappearances. And that group is now taken down for good. Now, everything is back to normal."
Kaido: "So, what are you planning to do now?"
Takuma: "Keep on racing. And probably settle down..."
Kaido: "Hah! You have a girlfriend?"
Takuma: "I have catching up to do with her right now. Well, see ya."
Takuma leaves the tuning shop, with his hand bidding farewell.

Takanori: "Time to do it again..."
Takuma enters the room as well.
Takuma: "You missed this room so much, huh?"
Takanori: "Yep. And this guitar."
Takuma: "You're singing again? Let me hear..."
Then Takanori starts to sing.
Eyes go shut
I dissipate
Into thin air leaving no trace
Distant voice
Not listening

They hear a doorbell ring. Makoto opens the door, and it turns out that Sayuki is the visitor.
Sayuki: "Good day! May I speak with the Kanonji twins, please?"
Makoto: "Sure. I'll call them upstairs.
Then Tomoko gives Sayuki a new mochi flavor.
Tomoko: "Oh, Miss Sayuki! What a pleasant surprise! Here, taste this brand-new Mochi flavor! It's a mongo bean mochi!"
Sayuki: "No problem! Mmmmmmmm!!!! Tastes good! Please sell it!"
Tomoko: "Thank you. Oh I will sell it!"
The twins go down and see Sayuki. The three go outside.
Takanori: "What brings you here, Sayuki-san?"
Sayuki: "To tell you one important thing."
Takuma: "Important thing?"
Sayuki: "You see, I am a Kanonji too."
Takanori: "Really!? Hah! No wonder you drive a GT-R too!"
Sayuki: "Hehehehe.... But I'm an adopted daughter of Tatsumi Kanonji."
Takanori: "Really..."
Sayuki: "I know how my father hated you. So, here I am, saying goodbye."
Takuma: "Why?"
Sayuki: "I'm not a real Kanonji, and knowing what my father did to you, I don't deserve living with your family."
Takanori: "Hey, you're welcome here! Forget the past!
Sayuki: "I'd want to live with you. But I don't think I'd fit well... Besides, my work can endanger your lives as well."
Takuma: "So, what do you do then, for a living?"
Sayuki: "I'm a CIA Agent. All along, I have been monitoring both of you and protecting you from The Grim Reapers. Takanori, here..."
She hands over her R33 GT-R's keys.
Sayuki: "Take care of my San-San-chan, okay? Besides, I guess my Godzilla will like it better if it is under the care of The Godzilla Keeper. Hehehehe...."
Then she walks away, bidding her arm farewell.
Sayuki: "Farewell. I hope you live long and prosper."
The twins also wave their hands goodbye.
Takanori: "What a sweet girl."
Takuma: "I guess she made the right decision."
Takanori: "You think?"
Takuma: "Let that woman discover herself. And eventually, we will accept her with our wide open arms."

The next morning, the twins are at Hakone once again, with Takuma driving Ben's Countach LP400.
Takuma: "A dream come true, huh?"
Takanori: "Yeah. Everyone loves to drive a Countach. It's a dream car."
Takuma: "And Otoosan got to own one of these..."
Takanori: "You know what, Ben-san is one of the greatest people I've known."
Takuma: "Why?"
Takanori: "Because, beneath his harsh exterior beats the heart of a great mentor. He just goes to show that mentors like him can really drive their proteges to succeed. Look at us now, we have achieved a lot thanks to him."
Takuma: "I agree. And he's also a great father."
Takuma: "Heavy gearshifts, heavy clutch, hot interior, tall gearing...
...who cares? This car is so much fun to drive. No wonder Otoosan loves this."
Takanori: "It sure is a fun car to drive."
Takuma: "Aaaand..."
Takanori: "What?"
Takuma punches the back of Takanori's head.
Takanori: "Ow! What's that for!?"
Takuma: "You have a lot of explaining to do as to why you repainted Otoosan's R34."
Takanori: "Well, you see..."
Takanori now is struggling to think of the reasons as to why.
Everything is back to normal. Takuma and his girlfriend, Hiroko, are making their relationship work; Axel and Katrine are engaged; The Kanonji Mochi Shop now has branches all over the city; Takuharu can now walk and speak more words.
As for Sayuki, she just continues her work. She is then assigned on a new mission. But before she could leave the building, she looks at the Tokyo skyline, and thinks back on the brief moments she spent with the Kanonji family.
