lately I've been having a hard time racing on A-spec and online against other players. all my cars have been understeering, i have been tweaking all my suspensions and drivetrains and it still has the same handling. even my favorite NSX RM wont even try and oversteer no matter how hard I try, I suspect this is a bug. has anyone else had this problem?

Have you checked your controller or wheel? There could be a fault in whichever one you use. Also did you check if you have settings such as SRF or TCS on or other driving aids? Especially traction control can do this.

You probably have SRF on.
I think it stays on after you've competed in the new seasonal event races where SRF is mandatory.

A spec seems as good as ever to me. But I still think the online physics are less grippy than offline, they are closer but still different. I should do some testing but I race offline most of the time.

I'm with everyone else... check to see if you've got some aids jacked up by mistake.
Occasionally I've seen people in pub shuffle lobbies with their ABS @ 10 :odd: & always wonder if that's deliberate & I'd be rude to point it out, or a terrible mistake I should be pointing out because they're wondering why their cars handle bizarrely. :boggled:

Is that true? I didn't notice that after I did a seasonal. But I always restrict aids wherever else I drive these days in lounges/lobbies.

no yall my aids are all off, i never drive with them on. tires are always right, i check every race. it might be that seasonal event thingy, it looks like its going away now

Generally most GT5 cars have a bad understeer in the middle of the corner so it dosen't bother me.

One thing I will say is differential tuning can make a big difference in erasing some of it.

Are you using older tunes (pre patch 2.09) made for online racing? In 2.09 (?) they changed online physics to be like offline, which gives more rear grip usually. If so, you'll have to find new setups for your cars.

ABS doesn't stay the same from car to car, they must want ABS at 10 for some reason...

I thought I was having this issue last night. I switched to a Six Axis/No Dual Shock and viola, no problemos.

TVR Speed 12!! "60/40 weight distribution" stock.

Even after 200kg ballast sent all the way to the rear (making the WD 50/50 - this is WRONG as with most TVRs the Speed 12 is a 50/50 car STOCK) there is still annoying amounts of understeer. Even after ballast I still needed to keep my pre-ballast settings (heavy oversteer-type suspension and some LSD setup), all ballast allowed me to do (apart from making the PP FLY UP) was I can now have the same tyres front and rear.
