One of the biggest problems with this game is that all the cars have severe understeer. This not only takes the fun aspect away from the game it makes it outright frustrating.

Is this something that Gran Turismo 7 will fix in the very near future?

I think one reason why GT7's physics now lean on the understeer side is because of its broad playerbase. Not everyone would enjoy sudden oversteer the moment they turn the wheel. You can't just say "git gud" and then adjust the physics to the more expert players, which would betray the recent premise of Gran Turismo of "Driving is For Everyone". It's not a true sim.

One example was one article I have read about the 296 GT3 being forgiving in this game (understeer on turn in) as opposed to AC or iRacing with it being the opposite. In my opinion, this was done intentionally to make sure everyone enjoys the car and its recent rise to fame in real life.

On my end, I simply trail brake to get better corner entry. And just like the others said here, it's all about having the proper setup plus the driving style.

I've done everything that everyone has suggested but it has not solved the problem. My issue is that because of the massive understeer it makes it unrealistic to what you would experience while driving an actual vehicle in these conditions. In other words it takes a realism out of the game.

Is this on a standard car or have you added suspension? There are a lot of cars in GT7 that will allow you to lower them to the point where especially under braking the wheels catch the arches and 'lock' straight ahead, the E36 M3 for example seems to be a car you cant lower at all. Hell there are even cars that are fine with the standard body but that will do it with a wide body fitted. Then of course there are cars you can absolutely slam on their ass that handle perfectly fine, like a standard body BX.
