If it possible to wear a car out? I have 2 enduros left, a had done all the other with my R8. My R8 has around 8,000 miles that I put on it. I have changed the oil, bought new tires, washed it, and done the regitity thing. It just seems like it CAN NOT win anymore. In Bspec mode it would be able to get the lead with in 2 laps. No no matter what it cant even get out of 6th place.

Is the car totaly warn out? Is there something I am missing?

no offence but thats clearly not what he means, he simplymeans that now the car cannot get into the lead within 2 laps, it cant even get out of 6ht place. As im in england, i dont have the game yet, and am just being picky here.

RCDrift, check the engine power and see if it matches up to what it's meant to be maybe? maybe the competition are just better in the recent races you've tried? Im sure someone wth the game will be more help.

Umm, is it such a problem to buy a new one? You should have enough money by now!

I can, but I am like 20 days away from the 4 black cars. And would love to own them. I not really a big deal that its so slow. Was just wondering if there is something I am missing to fix it.

Also to give people a heads up(that might not beable to afford a second one)

In GT3 the power would drop after a certain amount of miles.. but not to the point were it couldn't win races. Try racing A-spec see if it feels slower.

Because of the Special Conditions Race #2 at Costa Di Amalfi and the Deitshe MeisterSchaft Cup in the European Events no one should ever have the problem of "not being able to afford a car."

After being driven that hard, any car in real life and in the game will suffer engine wear and a significant drop in performance. You need to either buy a new one or find another favourite car to race with. There are hundreds of 'em!

So you can't fix the wear like you could in real life? That sucks, normally you only would have to do an engine rebuild and perhaps transmission+suspension overhaul...

Anderton Prime u are right, i have won that friggen toyota rc suv thingy like 16 times and takes like 3# to get the money required to buy the B-4 (black 4), and i dont even have a R8 yet so now i will have to win that suv rally thing another 16 times

Yes, there is wear that happens to your car over time.
Go to whatever performance shop for your car and go to the chasis mods section. Check out the "Chasis stiffness refreshment plan" ....

It looks like your chasis gets weaker the more you race it, the the less stable it will be in turns. This mod should prevent the wear from occuring, and fix any wear you have on your car.

The mod costs lots of credits though!

50,000 is less than 4.5 mil for a new model though. :)

even at that though, one thing missing in this game and gt3 is some sort of engine refresher or rebuild. thats would a nice addition for a future game.

Perhaps your tuning is ske-wampus. Maybe you chose a setting from A, B, and C that doesn't have a turbo upgrade or maybe you've set your settings for test course or some other unique track.

my nissan z lm concept has lost about 3 hp from runs on the nurb...
i tried changing the oil too, but it seems that redlining on the straightaway is what's doing it.

So engine wear is permanent? I guess I wont be racing with my Delorean since you can only get it once!

You can drive it, you just have to turn off your PS2 before you exit out of the race. Or, if you have a 2nd memory card the delorean is easy enough to win if you start a new game, and then just sell it back to yourself.

Also, I believe the "port polish" or engine balancing will help you regain HP unless you can't do either of those to your car.

The chassis rigidry might be the problem with your B-spec not winning. I was racing the ring a little bit. For some reason it felt like my car would NOT follow commands correctly. I knew it wasn't me that was constantly overpushing the car, because I ran a decent time the other day. After a while I was getting more and more frustrated with the performance with the car and my times of high 7'30s as supposed to my previous best of 7'10. After long hard though I went to HKS and lo and behold, I had to redo the 50,000 Chassis work yet again. After the work though the car once again was feeling great. =]

BTW, he said he did the Chassis Ridgity, not the refresh. I agree with the poster above me, try going back to the dealer and seeing if the chassis refresh plan is buyable.

yes, it does. if you drive too long on bad oil(for example: 24 hour endurance race) you will begin to lose h.p. I know because the same thing happened to me, and it sucks. luckily though, you can clear the medals of the races and get another car.
