Unknown Ford (edit: Shelby GR-1)

I'm watching the NASCAR race right now and this Ford commercial comes on. Basically, showing off Ford's heritage in racing. At the end of the commercial, a silver car overtakes the camera car and totally blows me away. What is this car? I never seen it before. Please excuse my ignorance if it is a known car.

Ford woulda made it too if the GT had not turn out to be such a pain in there ass.

They had to fly a tech to the location of every GT sold so he could perform a recall service.

You were right, as it was a Shelby concept. But I just found the name you thought it could have been funny (don't take it personal).

I'm quite sure I watched a discovery channel documentary on the design and build of this concept car a year or two ago.

That ad had some nice Lotus-Ford and GT90 action, if I recall.

It's also more realistic than those Ford Edge ads, bizzarely.
