Keep um coming, here's some more.

From one of the most basic modes of motorised transport to the most expensive car ever build ( they only build 4, 3 of them aren't even on this planet ;)).

This is just too funny(in a dark way) and ironic: Toyota wheelchair controlled by brain waves!:trouble:

The jokes practically write themselves, as though they've got mind of their own!:sly:

I Love these things so much, I really wish there was one in GT5.. Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic. I will drive one of these some day.

Edit: After staring at the picture for a while it sort of kind of looks a bit like an F1 car. Sort of...

;)👍 This is one of the reasons i started this thread, vehicles everbody knows don't have a ( rightful ) place in either GT or TT but would still be nice for some to experience somehow in another game, serious or not.
Here are some other unlikely vehicles;

Official Mercedes racecar transporter from the fifties based on running gear of the 300SL Gullwing, possibly one of the fastest trucks ever made.

Quite large ATV from Kawasaki

Bajaj Taxi ;)

:D

Seriously, with a grumbling V8 these would be something! Maybe it's not even that unlikely, there was a RR Sport in GT4 :)

Ren831, i also would like to see the original Land Rover ( yes, with the V8 please 👍 ) but is still basically a car, although a 4x4, like the Pajero in GT4.
It is therefor, if PD chose it, likely to appear in GT.

I know this tread might appear somewhat confusing and some vehicles may be difficult to categorise but this is not a wish list for vehicles in either GT or TT.( please read the first post before posting suggestions ).
It can be considered a wish list for a seperate game title, including all sorts of vehicles you would like to see and would like the ability to drive in a game ( regardless why or what for, just for fun ).

Some vehicles which seemed unlikely ( like Jay Leno Tank Car ) have made it in GT but those are exceptions and that Tank Car is basically still a car.
So please add vehicles which either fall between bike and car or outside both categories.
Or cars and bikes which are so completely different and outlandish the chances of inclusion are unlikely. ;)

Some more suggestion to inspire to think outside of the box

A Peterbilt Hot Rod....

The GM Futurliner, a fifties prototype truck for their Futurama tour.

The six-wheeled Bedford bus which was also featured in the original The Italian Job.

I did read the first post, but must have gotten in wrong somehow. To make up for that here something that looks so nuts I don't even know what the hell it's supposed to be or what it's based on originally. But it looks really cool and for this I would get back into the inside car view hoping they offer full panoramic helmet cam :D (food for thought for the hot camera thread running ;))

I would like to have two or three bikes, just for time trialing, but this thing would be awesome in the Pikes Peak downhill course:

I had one of these when I was a boy. Racing is in my blood I think, I'm very slow so racing is in my blood, not winning. ;)

Dan_, you just reminded me of a vehicle that would be good on a nice downhill tarmac...

Yeah, this is very cool, but no matter how good your car is, you'll always lose to the fat guys on a downhill course.

It's more exciting without brakes. :D

Although strictly speaking still a car ( and not exactly great looking ;)) but it is powered by a 27 litre V12 Rolls-Royce Merlin engine from a Spitfire.
The creator was even sued by Rolls-Royce for using their grill and mascotte ( which you can see he lost ).

A lot, probably most, of Luigi Colani's creations could be eligible for this thread on looks alone ( not necessarily positive most of the time ) but i chose 2 of his truck designs ( look at those rotating windshield wipers ).

Bikes belong in TT and i'd love to see some of those sidecar racing bikes mainly because of the possibilities of a 2-player co-op gameplay option riding the same bike, but unlikely so i post one here.

See how Sony already own the rights to the movie this car appeared in and its connection to NASCAR don't be suprised:

Hmmm..motortrend that Lada is probably unlikely but still a car ( altough some might argue otherwise )
but anyway at least there's a Russian vehicle included now although they've made more
interesting vehicles which are more suitable to this thread ( Russian missile launcher like the ones
on those old military parades anyone? ).

Was looking at this thread and the reason i started it and had to think about my childhood
where i played with a lot of different toy vehicles apart from the omnipresent cars.
There were trucks, buses, fire-engines, bulldozers, cranes, etc., etc.

Now that i've grown up ( at least quantatively ) my main interest regarding vehicles is cars
and the only vehicles i drive in games are cars or bikes ( apart from a flight sim, Battlefield BC
or GTA, where there are more different kind of vehicles ) but i would like the idea
of those different toy vehicles i enjoyed as a kid being playable again, not physically as toys
ofcourse but as a more "acceptable" guilty pleasure discreetly put on a disc of data to install
in my Playstation once in a while.

Only now i want them recreated as a sim-like experience preferable by a company such as PD,
and although i know this is never going to happen it might give me and hopefully many others
who share my defect a nice and enjoyable distraction.

Here's some more vehicles i'd really love to drive in a game starting with a East-German Barkas
B1000 van in the form of an emergency vehicle.

And it's bigger West-German counterpart, the Mercedes-Benz L-319.

How about an classic Alfa Romeo ( yes, they used to make trucks and vans ) truck.

Firstly, there have been some great posts in here!

analog I don't think your co-op sidecar idea is that daft... in fact, I would love it! Though it's a bit like drawing the short straw to be the "passenger", unless it's made really involving (like the real thing) i.e. making sure you make the grabs and lean at just the right time - this would require co-operation from the rider, to make sure he/she doesn't throw you off!
But that's for TT2, not GT5 - unless...

And that "rocket-powered" kart is actually powered by a [WIKIPEDIA]pulsejet[/WIKIPEDIA], crazy invention that it is!
