Which car should be used for the "new" backgrounds?

I just noticed something incredibly minor, but in the quest for theme perfection, I feel obligated to tell you. :p In the XMB, all of the icons have a reflection except for the Playstation Network logo. Was that intentional or an accident?

I don't think the PSN icon can be modified.
 
If that is the case, then it looks just fine. :)

You can clearly see that it's not the same style as the rest of the icons so yeah it's locked, nothing I can do about it until they allow us to change it :p

I have one of the First Versions of your Themes.
In order to Download the 1.2.0 I need to Delete the File from my PS3 before intsling the new one?
Or do I need all the versions in order to work?

I read the READ ME file to install , I have problems with the Icons..
Never mind I got it. At first I thought these KEY icons were for the ONLINE profile. But its for the MAIN profile for my eyes only.
Anyway To upload the KEYs to the ONline profile? that be great!

By the WAY Everything works now I love it. I like how the Backgrounds Change. It would be great to have more Backgrounds, at least 20 ;) hehe

Until Sony allows for people to upload their own (which i doubt will ever happen) no choice there, it's up to sony :(

As for a new wallpaper, well I'm going to continue my uber-geekness and suggest the Mini Cooper S :D.

The least they could do is update them with icons that refer to some of the newer games. I think the newest ones are Warhawk related.
 
yes, i'm gonna reupload them on my ftp and post the new updates of theme soon and update the first page again, don't worry :)
 
Even though it isn't officially in the game, i'd love to see a Tesla Roadster wallpaper.

Hey alba, I've been following your GT theme for a little while now and was wondering if you had made a psp version of it. I know it isn't HD but I wouldn't mind rocking your theme on my PSP. I'm sure i'm not the only one.
 
An amazing job mate. I've seen you're going to put an update of it so I'm going to wait for that one instead of put this one, and I'm going to use it as theme for my GTP_Aero-R account :)

And I've used your Poll too. The Ferrari F40 is planned, so I've selected another one, a Toyota, but I unfortunately did an error and selected "others" on the poll... I think it can't be changed. Anyway, my selection is: Toyota Castrol Supra... or Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra, I really don't know the differences because I'm not much on that car and it's not my best favourite but it's one of them and one I love, and I specially suggested that car because it's an icon of the GRAN TURISMO saga since the first one. I don't know if is necessary for suggest a car, that it has been released on GT5Prologue already.. of if anybody could suggest a car that just he likes.
 
Very nice work, Alba! I voted for "other". I actually have two themes I'd like to see. One with the Corvettes and another with the Vipers. Maybe have both the normal and tuned cars in the same picture.
 
only beef i have with this theme is the sound. kinda gets annoying after a while, but the rest are totally cool.

I just updated from one of your earlier themes which was pride of place on my PS3 screen and now this new theme with the F2007 is so clean and sharp it has taken it's place and will not be changed for a while unless you create another one that I am unable to resist :sly:👍

Lost my bearings slightly and I was wondering where on the USB drive to put the key icon png file as I am not sure if it simply goes in the theme folder with the p3t file? cant seem to get it to show up when editing my account picture ... Thanks in advance ;)

Save them as non-theme related images without a folder and then copy them to your images section on the PS3 HDD. Then when you edit the account icon (far left of the XMB) you can just select it out of there. I actually have a folder on my PS3 just for icons.
 
Amazing work alba, really. I was surprised about the sound on the menus, old times !!!! :dopey:

I just have one problem: my PS3 doesn't recognize the image files (backgrounds or account icons) when I put them on the USB key. I've my background on the root, and the account icons on the folder you did into the .rar (so, I've them on root/User Account) and the PS3 doesn't recognize any picture on my USB link.

What I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

PD: alba, are you AlbatorCR on LastFM? (because today one user with that name was joining into my New York House group on LastFM and talking, but he had on his profile that he's from Costa Rica... and I remember you from other place).
 
I have a question about this and other themes that have multiple backgrounds.

Is it possible to manually select which backgrounds that come with a theme instead of it randomly selecting one for you?

I looked over the PS3's XMB manual under Theme Settings, and it makes no mention on if it's possible, or how to do this.

I know I can copy any pic from the XMB's Photo menu or from an external drive into a wallpaper, and then assign it as the background of any theme... but as you can only have one pic assigned as the wallpaper, it would be nice if you could manually cycle through the multiple backgrounds that come with many of the themes.

Is this possible, or are we stuck having to just hope the background we want will be randomly selected?
 
I commend your work Alba. I am truly impressed. If I may, however, I'd like to request a new user icon for Armenia. I'd really appreciate it if there was one. Oh, and any chance we can expect a Suzuki Cappuccino wallpaper? :)
 
hi there people, it's been a while... I've been away quite a lot lately but have no fear, I still got my updates for the theme nearly done, I'm going to update the thread as soon as I can !
 
In case anybody's wondering, I've put the update on hold since we got in-game XMB and trophies support coming, hopefully they'll release an update to change those icons aswell (I hope) :P

Did you notice that the US Store got a new theme? The PSN Theme, so all the icons match the look of the PSN logo.

I prefer the look of yours, despite the fact that unchangeable PSN logo sticks out.

:lol: talks about Sony getting it the wrong way round!!.... they should release something to make the PSN icon fit with everything else!... it looked great before when it was the 4 symbols flat.
