Well i've been putting some work into this thread. As you said its a huge project but its somewhat fun and something to do while PSN is down. My goal is to work on this thread at least a few hours everyday. Its a little time consuming because of how slow it is to move around in GT5.
BTW I have nowhere near the total cars! I try to collect all the tuner and race cars but I believe I have very few cars compared to the car collector types. That being said I have been using an android app that has a pretty good list of cars. So far the specs have been nearly identical to what I have. I plan on only listing Race and Tuner cars in this list (and the 'tweeners') so hopefully that cuts back on the sheer amount of cars.
I have been giving the cars an oil change as I believe most racing series allow one so it should reflect actual performance.
As for the inaccuracies, I think gt5 is just a little bit fluky when it comes to its math. I've noticed my specs being different when i'm online as well. Thankfully the differences in power to weigh ratios is very small so if I use a manual ratio or the one in gt5 they should still be quite similar in performance.
Also I appreciate any help with listing cars but please don't go out of your way to do it. I would hate to burden anybody with extra un paid work.
