I still love my shock rifle :) The link gun is really good with the berserk power up too. I also like the flak cannon due to it's high power at close range.

Have you noticed that the impact hammer is easy to notice when people use it? It just sounds like a train barreling towards you :ouch:
 
It's pretty useful for low-grav, especially on maps where you can push people off the edge. ;)
 
Shock rifle is the best mid to long range weapon. Its accurate from a nice distance because of its firing speed. I have killed many people with it from a nice distance.

Shock combos are great too. If you have good enough aim and timing you can flat out destroy people. It's easier to pull off if you have a mouse and keyboard.
 
Hey guys, I've seen some Mods for characters like SPAWN, HALO, and others, Can I download them and play online? Also will other people see these characters? Or is it single player only?

They would have to be for the PS3 version, not PC. I'm not sure how skins would work on PS3, but i'm gonna guess that people online wouldn't be able to see the skin unless they too downloaded/installed it.

I got the game last night. Pretty sweet at first. I've seen a video on youtube, guy was downloading many things before going into the server, so I guess its possible. :)

So far I only try single player instant action. Why the heck we need a campaign mode in this game? I don't think I'll be playing it much
I also use the Mouse and Keyboard combo, It's so much better to get a nice head shot :)
Well I don't have a keyboard thats in USB mode, but I got this

And it works pretty good, also I love that its compact.
 
No high speed there? Newnan must be further out than I remember, lol.

Anyway, yeah, you can play offline, that's all I do since the only people that play online seem to be noobs.

If freaking Warfare was more popular, i guess it could go up against Halo. But nobody plays warfare, so i dunno. :(
 
Well, I just picked this up today. Cheap enough now. And finally bought a keyboard for my PS3, so yeah.

Anyhow, is there a crouch function, because I am not finding it... at all. Which strikes me as very very odd since it was in the PC demo, last I checked.

Your character only crouches when it has to, automatically, to get under obstacles.

Sadness. I was hoping they had a proper crouch function, mostly because I hate hitting "C" on my keyboard to descend in a vehicle, would prefer to remap to "ctrl" like in the Half Life engine games.

Oh, descend in vehicles is different. TBH i forgot how to do that in the game, but i do know that it was a controller function so i'm guessing you can map it to the Ctrl key.

Merged PC version script functionality to PS3 to improve mod compatibility for mods on PS3.

That changelog entry points to it being released on PS3 as well.

I also forgot to mention in my last post that there is a new Bonus Pack being released for UTIII. No word on pricing yet. Previous Bonus Pack from Epic have been free, but this is apparently bigger than any other BP they've released in the past... so maybe they'll charge for it this time. Who knows. ;)

I thought I would bump this because I have more news!

New details regarding the Bonus Pack to be released on March 5th for the PC and PS3 at no cost have been revealed! It includes some nice PS3 specific additions: High demand PS3 features including PS3 Trophy support, two-player split-screen support, and mod browsing

It's nice to see Epic doing this!

EDIT: There is no mention of this coming to the Xbox 360 so far, but surely it will eventually.

Wow nice to see a game which has been out for quite some time be supported so well, and for free at that!
 
TITAN rocked my socks off..

1st I turn it on .. I got big! wow man I dominated.. then hold on whats that? I can be even bigger! my socks just flew off!
