This looks like a huge wish list. If were are talking paid DLC that's another story all together. Cars I'd like to see would be to add the British cars in a car pack: "70-'73 MGB, 67 Austin Healey 3000, Bug Eye Sprite, TR6, '67 4.2 ltr XKE roadster. American Muscle car Pack '70 Boss 302, Boss 429, '70 Mecurey Cyclone 429 Cobra Jet, '57 Chevy Bel-Air, Maverick Grabber.
Tracks: Midfield, Red Rock Valley, SSR 11 (day/night), Pike Peak Hll Climb which they already have modeled. New tracks USA Road Courses like Road Atlanta, Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen, Road America, VIR, Sebring and many more I can't think of right now. Road courses from other countries as well. I mean if I really sat down and did a little research I could fill a whole page. But, based on PD's track record they are going to do whatever they what no matter how loud the public screams.

If Pikes Peak gets released it better not be a la Goodwood (playable offline only).

A race with several cars on Pike's Peak or Goodwwod has to be as fun as playing tennis in an elevator.

Although, a multiplayer ghost run can be fun.

PD could copy the Driveclub's Online Time Trials.

More cars on goodwood with delayed start, and final classification of the times wpuld be a blast.

If PD tried releasing pay for DLC at this point with GT6, Sony may as well kiss the brand goodbye, especially considering how the whole credit purchase thing blew up in their face, I can't see them trying to sell DLC at this point. Not on GT6 anyway.

I'm not sure why they'd bother.

Really, the best time to put out paid DLC is right at the start of a game's lifecycle, where you've got the most people still actively playing and therefore the biggest potential customer base. A year and a half later you've only got the die hard crowd playing, who may be highly likely to spend money but there's just not that many of them.

If they've got content that they're making for GT7 anyway and they feel like chucking it out for a bit of cash, maybe. But as you say, it's probably a gamble if they do it before they finish adding the rest of the features, there's a real chance that there ends up being an internet backlash and it blows up in their face. I doubt they want to trade goodwill for cash at this point.

I think they're better off doing what they have to in order to get the game finished and then letting it die. GT6 is a lost cause, nothing that they can do at this point is going to make it a critical or commercial success on par with the other GT games. Let it die, and make GT7 their great comeback.

Exactly this. I just wonder how many die hard fans they lost in the process. I know personally the likelihood of me getting a PS4 is slim. The only two games I've played on my PS3 for the last few years has been GT and GTA. I can get GTA on my gaming PC, and there are lots of really good race sim options for the PC that can replace GT for me, and I won't have to replace my G27 wheel with an over priced T300. Not to mention the slew of other PC based games such as Star Citizen. But that is just me, and I am sure that plenty of people will be jumping to GT7 when it comes out.

At this point, I am not sure if the track creator is enough to get me back into my rig for this game. A year ago yes, but now, the magic is gone, and when/if it hits, I doubt it's going to be the magic they were advertising. I don't see things like GPS track creation or even full editor control happening. Just an upgraded version of the GT5 course creator.

Don't you mean 35%? We got a new track too.
While technically you are right, I would hardly call track and car based dlc an unreleased feature. Especially when Mid-Field wasn't even an advertised future track. Now, the real question. Will Mid-Field be all re dressed and glistening pretty, or a laughable attempt at appeasing a dwindling fan base. Aka a "standard" track?
BTW, i will blow the dust off the disc and give the track and bspec a whirl. If I am magic'd I'll take back some of my critical cynicism.

Judging by pictures, and it having weather time change I'd say it's going to be a good looking track. We haven't gotten any new tracks that looked bad have we?

If you only count the features. 17% voted course maker. But I'm sure at least half of the people that voted course maker are also excited about this. :D I am, if they implement this right...

Not sure if I am taking your meaning right, but if you only include features, and not track and cars, then nearly 70% voted for the course maker.

Ok, update is out, how is b-spec? I've got about 8 more hours before I'll get the chance to update. Is it as magical as a Sunday day dream?

Yeah, read some of the reviews in the bspec is back thread. Sounds a lot like I expected. Updating at the moment. Gonna give it a try anyway. Maybe it will be a good way to at least do all of the races I never felt like finishing.

Update
OK, first race done. 500pp clubman race 1 in the aventador. It's not magic. First thought was, it's perfect for the causal racer that isn't really into racing. That said, to me it feels like a beta for something better coming in gt7. It's a neat tool. And in the end I sorta enjoyed it. But it's gotta be said, the thrill will wear thin fast and in the end, it sucks. This feels like a partially implemented mode that was released because they can't get anything better working with the ps3. Having actual drivers to pick from, building the skills, racing against friends bobs was awesome in on gt5, completely gone here. Just AI controlling your car. No character to connect with.
I fear that the track creator will follow suit. They will release it as a feature, falling far short of anything spectacular. It will likely feel like a cobbled together tech demo for a gt7 feature.
I may use it to turn so more laps through the weekend, but in the end, weak sauce.
