Folks with this mentality are the perfect consumer for PD if its new direction is to deliver half finished games that arent even fully debugged and then implement incremental updates that are also not debugged. Hurray for mediocre quality control at a premium price of "entry". At least the updates are free as they should be.

They are trying to complete the game using us as test dummies but you cant possibly be ok with a broken feature and many other errors in a game you paid money for. If so I got a bike wheel with a few missing spokes that I will sell to you for full price. Ill include a spoke a month till you get all the spokes it should have come with but they might not work right. When can I expect your payment? Im sure you wont mind the wobbly ride afterall Im sending you the missing pieces for free.

I am glad PD is trying to finish the product but when the broken product is "fixed" with another broken feature it does raise up the old bad feelings again about PD. Ive got a handle on it but this does irk me a bit. Can PD please debug something pleaseeee lol...:)

What he said... x10...

I don't get it.. people whined about there being no kind of feature to show that you own a certain car.. now that it comes in and is a bit bugged.. people whine ever more!

just be grateful for what PD have given us.. they could've easily not made any new updates and left the game as it was but they didn't, they decided to update the game and make it better to, i suppose, please the GT5 community

You don't realise that PD update the game for their own sake too? No need to get emotional about it. PD wants us to complain if something is broken. I have not come across this said bug though so I take it with a grain of salt.

Yup, happened with the 240ZG in the online dealership. As some people have already said, it probably treats the new colors added to certain cars as completely new cars. I guess the update needs an update...

I find that hard to believe. If its down to colour, then its a pretty useless function. So they think we want to collect every single car in every single colour?

:tup:Spot on Mate ! 400 colours x 1000 cars would mean a garage with 400,000 cars in it LOL

Best I can tell, seems to be working here. I keep track with the Matrix database, as well.

Same here, I have around 650 cars now and I've cross referenced the "unticked" cars against my car tick sheet and it's been 100% fine so far.

I think this new addition is great as I don't have to spend as long checking against cars I already have :o)

👍

Sure you guys aren't mistaking japan or american versions of the same car? There are identical cars in GT5 with the only thing different being an 'na' or 'j' in their description.

There's only one version of the Nissan 240ZG (HS30) '71

It has to do with the new colors added in the update, not just any different color.

Colors (old and new) have nothing to do with it. As I said before, I have purchased the very same car (identical model/name, color, mileage) twice after the update, and even though there are now two completely identical cars in my garage, there is still no check mark when that car shows up in the UCD.

This system has worked flawless for me so far. Every car I own and have seen in the dealership since the update has been marked and it has helped me realise that I still need to collect some cars I thought I had already. Small variations in the name isn't always easy to spot so this is awesome. 👍

Balls. Bit of a shame if it's not 100% reliable but I am sure they will sort this out in time. I'm just happy they got the system in place to be honest, saves me having to keep updating my iPhone app :)

I noticed it mainly on the race cars, i think with some of them they have different numbers for the various colors so that maybe why.

that might be it. For me it's been 100% reliable (but I didn't check until the UCD was 100% refreshed, so the slot thing problem could be linked to those bugs)

all my cars are marked. No marked cars I don't have. And different colors were marked (integra R and IS touring car, new in yellow and gray).

But some race cars might have different models for different decals (like opel and vauxhaul calibra, touring and super touring)

It works for me,buit when I first started up after update,it told me the Lister Storm and Nissan Primera were ticked, yet I hadnt bought either car.
On the other hand,2 identical Legacys turned up in Black and silver. Both ticked and I did have one in my garage.A red one.

It works on my game, but before the update I had cleaned out most of my UCD so most were sold out. in the new UCD after the update, the slots that were sold out were still sold out even with different cars. Once you get a whole new UCD its fine and works well. :)

So after a complete UCD refresh the ticks may more reliable? Cool!

On a semi-related note, one car in my UCD was sold out, but I hadn't bought it, it didn't have a check mark next to it.

Also this "Justin" guy now has his name in red. someone Kaz knows maybe. :P

But it's good to at least know it's messed up, not that I've collected a whole pile but when I do, I'll love this feature.
