Since the 1.02 update my cockpit view is terrible its so dark I can't even see the clocks , everything just looks black , anyone else getting this ?

I liked how it was in 1.01, as it was brighter than in GT5... So now they reverted that back...?? :(

Kaz did that for us so that there is no difference between standards and premiums anymore. They heard the negative feedback about the standard cockpit view being too dark in comparison to the premiums, so they went ahead and fixed that for the fans 👍

It's not a "standard" issue... the view itself even out the window is nerfed. Problem for BOTH premium and standards.

So bad I created a thread asking people if it changed the view they use Has GT6 changed your preferred driving view?

I have NOT witnessed this problem in other views, only cockpit.

Edit: This was actually a problem before v1.02 so this isn't the update that broke it.

Anyone instead of moaning thought of turning the exposure up?!

Yes, might be annoying... but hardly worth ranting over.
Why should we have to do that ? It was fine before the update .

Not that It works that way any how turning the exposure up just over saturates .

And bloody right im moaning 70% of the cars haven't even got a cockpit view and the ones that have are now nuffed , realistic driving simulator yeah right.

i've always used the narrowest view in cockpit when racing anyway, i dont need to see the wheel as i have my own wheel. perhaps give that a try if its annoying you that much.

DELETE!!!! Some peeps are just never happy whinging and moaning, if you think you can do better go and raise the money and go and do better, rant over.

Me personally am happy with the game especially as i have now got a G27.

Oh btw a big thank you to Kazunori Yamauchi and all the team for all the hard work and hours put into GT6

Have not fired the game up today as yet but the cockpit view in quite a few cars is excessively dark but when you look behind you it's much brighter(the cars that have rear windows that is). No idea why it's varied from car to car but it's annoying when it's just plain too dark and makes it hard to see the already blurry dials on the dash. Seems the dash dials got a texture reduction as they are not as sharp as they were in GT5 and with no way to turn lights on yourself many times you are stuck being unable to turn on the dash lights so you can see when bathed in shadows because of sunlight. Some of it is realistic but understandably our eyes adjust after a few moments real life not so in the game.

You comedian you

Or you weren't sarcastic? :odd:

I too thought that the in-car views were too dark, I was hoping they would improve it, not make it worse. Oh well, at least the good news is they can continue to tweak it via updates to eventually get it looking right.

Agreed 👍

Don't like it, I'd love to see a lot of you do better...

Such a silly argument, if a patch has changed something people are allowed to comment on it be it positive or negative... I think a better solution to this would be to have proper headlight control. When driving for reals sometimes in the day light your dials can be hard to read.. so you put on your lights and your displays light up, in GT6 you cannot do this unless its a night race (in which case you still have no real control over your lights).

That said with almost zero peripheral vision I still don't know how or why people with one screen play using cockpit view unless its an open top sports car
