After installing update 1.69 and playing GT7. The trail mountain time trail freezes/crashes after 3 or 4 laps! Plus ghost load car disappeared after a few laps! Game freezes didn't happen before update 1.69. If someone can tell maybe the issue. Thanks
For your help.

Are you on PS4 or PS5? I have had noticeable screen-tearing during races a few times after the new update, but hasn’t crashed yet.

Btw, I’m on PS5.

As virtually everything in GT7 cause the game to ping the server, almost every issue should be treated as a connection issue at first until you can mostly rule it out.

Your first steps should be to clear the network cache in the game's Options and do as much of this as you can:

If the problem persists, there's further steps but since most of them suck it's best to avoid them unless necessary.

it's probably isn't related to the update but yesterday i went into the pit simultaneously with a bot car (and crashed into it directly on the entrance to the cutscene) and after i got teleported back to the track and couldn't ever enter the pit again xDDDD cause for system i was already in or something similar "very interesting" so it ruined my run needed to restart. i guess it was a punishment for my dirty wall riding OnO (no)

Hi, I didn't network cache in game's options! Perhaps I missed it! I saw something else that look to be maybe a part of the cache
you wrote about. That seem to work currently I'm not having that issue. Thanks again.

I am experiencing the same thing exactly. Ghost disappearing, game freezer frequently

Around that time, dont remember if right after the update, I also had this issue of the ghost disappearing, and many problems connecting to the lobbies, the game would freeze with a black screen when entering a lobby, or it would connect but it would be all black with only the names of the drivers shown, timeouts... lots of problems. I started making changes to my connection, with wifi, back to cable, switching ethernet cables... DMZ the ip, not DMZ, resetting the router, nothing worked, until one day, maybe after 2 days, it started working again with the same cable and settings I had before (as far as I can tell) and zero problems.

(game would also go offline mode)

Same thing since 1.69. Trying to load the ghost today and it is always stuck. Some data is not loaded too. Very annoying. I cannot understand what is going on, never had it before. I cleaner the cache in game as suggested, but mid the lap the ghost is gone…

No matter what I do, the ghost would not load, replay would not save…half of the grid cars not visible.

Connection issue, not update related...

Might be. For 1 year I had no such issues but since 1.69 I constantly have. Randomly can or cannot save my replays, randomly will or will not see full grid, etc. The game will stuck and will need to quit, restart. Is there anything I can do on my end apart from clearing cache?

I am just wondering, is it just me and it is my network?

Yes, everything I linked to in my prior response:

Thank you. This is genuinely helpful, but I think I will need to take a break from GT7 for now. Too much time spent fixing issues with Fanatec and now game/network. Sadly have no space for this in my life now, but will get back to this post as soon as I have some free time. Your guide is very helpful, thank you!

P.S.

On the network side, I moved the PS5 from 2.4 GHz to a dedicated 5 GHz network, separated the Wi-Fi bands completely, manually configured Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4), set a static IP address on the PS5, verified NAT Type 2, restarted the router multiple times, and cleared the GT7 network cache repeatedly.

On the PS5 side, I booted into Safe Mode and ran “Clear Cache and Rebuild Database”. I also fully restarted the console multiple times after all network changes.

Finally, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Gran Turismo 7, allowed the full game and updates to download again from scratch, and verified all save/trophy/account data remained intact.

At this point I’ve basically done a near full reset of both the network environment and the game installation itself. Now I’ll test it and see whether it finally fixes the issue. I really hope so, because honestly if it still keeps happening after all this, I genuinely don’t know what else to do.
