spudboy, I agree with you... GT4 photomode produces excellent pics, you just need to get the Appature, brightness, shutter speeds, etc just right...

kennythebomb, No offense intended here, but the new image in your post is too bright, it's over contrasted... I think had you taken the original shot better in photomode, it would have looked better than the PSed one... Just my opinion!

That's why I said negating the brightness/contrast/tint.

You missed the entire point.

Look closely.
 
I know what you did to the pic kenny, neatening the wheel arches and such, I read the tutotial...

My point is just that GT4 can take awesome pics with the right camera settings... ;) Pics that look real (except for the odd bit of pixalation on wheel arches and such)...

I'm not bashing PSers, just saying that photomode can go quiet far without the need for PS!!! :D

I fully agree :)

The first 1/2 of my gallery has almost no PS work done to it, and I still like every shot in it. PS only enhances what is already there.

A mate of mine is a 3D animator and graphic designer, you should see what he's done to some of my pics... I'll post some when I get them from him..

someone speaking my language, guess its cos we arent american and can leave things alone, not a racist comment but you guys in the us etc cant leave the pics alone, the ps'd was over exposed etc, if you dont want to see any possible flaws in gt pics dont zoom in on the frikkin wheel nuts!! every cars detail is at its best from a distance, like in the game, any car will look flawed if you zoom in close enough, no matter what, i dont like ps for doing gt 4 pics so dont attempt them, the ones i have seen dont look as good in my opinion and look over exposed or really overdone, gt pics are meant to be realistic arent they, like the game itself :nervous:

spudboy, lol I don't quite know if it's a yank thing... hehehe... Some guys actually do great with PS... Look at JMX2222's gallery to see what I mean, S12Ken is also good, kennythebomb, LandoAWD, all these guys have some good pics in there....

BUT, and there it is, BUT... I still prefer to get the pic just right in photomode, before I'll even dream of PSing them...

(not a personal jest to you, I'm just saying it would do you good not to say things like that - I'm also not saying this is a popularity contest so don't think I am :))

who said anything about being anti american? are you calling my comments racist? my comment was that the trend for photshopping tends to be among the american users on this site from what i gather, there are thousands of members on this site and i although i have a 'new member' status under my avatar i have been here for years gathering vital info on gt games etc and its been indepensible. so why would i ruin any friendships on here for the sake of doctored pics?

my original comment was on seeing a post with 'no photoshop at all' it drew me to it and it was refreshing to see a picture i was able to acheive in gt4 photomode without too much bother, so i commented on it and got a reply, then someone posted the ps/no ps comment which in my opinion looked worse ps'd but thats just my opinion, if you zoom in on a wheelarch expect to see flaws, its part of the game.

As much as I love it when people post here because it bumps my thread up, please refrain from having personal battles on my thread, this is for my gallery... Leave me a comment on my pics and that's cool... go on "attacking" each other, not cool... ;)

Update 6

Small update this time folks, I decided to buy a TVR 350 because I saw one for the first time IRL and loved it… I then decided to try it stock in the Blackpool race and won myself one of these wheelspinning beauts!!!

Im mighty impressed with your gallery and even more so the fact you religiously refraim from using PS. I too am in the same boat, partly because i cannot use PS to save my life! You have one of the most aesthetic Photos galleries i have seen on here without the aid of photoshop.

Keep up the good work and check my own gallery out sometime and please feel free to leave comments, criticism or tips. Thanks
