I knew I forgot something 💡

One thing that is irritating that I had finally seen last night was the fact that I bought a Camaro from the ucd, raced a race and went back and there was another one in there right above the one I just bought. Only the one I bought was highlighted. I think the problem lies in the two cars having different miles, so that would make it a completley different car, so it looks like PD may have to alter something to get it to work with the ucd.
 
I don't see why PD haven't forward this from GTPSP to GT5. Maybe it will be patched in a update?

Obviously a general in the Gran Turismo Fanboy Defense League. If you're a card-carrying member of the GTFDL, Polyphony can do no wrong and GT5 was 100% perfect at the moment of release with absolutely no room for improvement. To the GTFDL, to even suggest improvements is pure blasphemy against their golden calf. By their logic, any changes to the game would be a bad thing, because you're taking something that was completely, beautifully perfect in every detail and making it less than such.
 
With 1000+ cars it would be a useful way for the collectors to keep track of what they have already. I only have about 140 cars now and even with such a (relatively) low number I still find myself checking my garage before I buy a car.
 
YES! I was buying the nissan skyline sedan and then I was going to buy the coupe version,but I bought the sedan again on accident... :grumpy:
 
This is such an obvious inclusion that I wonder if they did any playtesting of GT5 at all before release.
It's a pain trying to memorise long strings of numbers and letters that make up a car name (esp. with the skylines for e.g.) when I go from the UCD to garage to check if I already have that one.

And the iphone app isn't available in my country.

I'm wondering if those that voted no did so by accident. I often peruse forums on my IPhone and I've hit the wrong option before. Usually there is no way to correct your vote if you make a mistake
 
That feature would be really useful for the Used Car Dealership too. So that I dont end up buying two cars, I cant remember all the cars I bought from there.

It would be really convienient to have one.

What else should show: resale value, original purchase price, kbb value. Reason #999 I am sick of this addictive game!
 
Hopefully the next update addresses this issue.

I know I was pleasantly surprised when v1.05 had the garage keep the cars listed in the order you wished eg. by make, by power, etc.

I hated having to set it to by make everytime to make it easier to find the odd car I wanted.

I currently keep an excel spreadsheet of my cars but if sometimes I've had a few beers (only drink-driving I do ;)) I forget to update it.

Should be an absolute must!!
We should also have the option to purchase more than one car at a time without having to go through the delivery animation etc.
 
They need to patch this in soon. I'm so tired of checking whether or not I already bought a Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V·spec N1 (R34) ‘99 or not.
 
Definitely would make it easier to own all cars, because even with my two databases i have brought the occasional car twice.

With me approaching 600 cars it will get harder to tell what i own and what i don't unless i keep going back to the computer to check which cars i need.
 
Helly yea! Such simple things are not implemented, thats insane... I dont know wich car I own, how would that even possible with 1000 cars... I must always make a list and then check the cars I have... It´s 2011
 
Hey everyone I wanted to share something that I noticed last night and I want to know if anyone else has noticed this with other cars.

I have the Lexus ISF and it does not have a blue check by the car. I thought that it might be because I RM'd it but other cars I have RM'd have the blue check. Have you noticed other cars that do this?
 
I haven't run across that problem in the New Car Dealership...yet. However, while browsing through the Used Car Dealership on my way to the Car Collector Trophy, I notice that a few cars keep popping up as not having been purchased (no blue check mark) when I already have them in my garage. These are those cars :

Mazda MX-5 Miata 1800 RS (NB,J) '00
Mazda MX-5 Miata 1800 RS (NB,J) '04
Mazda MX-5 Miata J-Limited (NA,J) '91
(These are listed consecutively, and in this order, on the spreadsheet that I've been using to keep track of purchased cars)
Nissan Sylvia K's AERO (S14)'93
Clio Renault Sport Trophy Race Car '00

When it first happened with the first Mazda that I listed, I thought that it might be due to the fact that the one in the UCD was a different color from the one in my garage. However, as time went on, the car popped up again in the same color as the one in my garage, so there is some other reason why these cars don't register correctly.

Running update 1.07
Same issue here. Notice this with a Nissan 350Z LM Race Car and a Zonda C12S. No blue tick mark in the UCD even when they are already purchased previously and sitting in the garage. New bug perhaps.

And the PP points displayed in the garage list view versus the individual car view is different. Another bug perhaps.

Seems like PD is mucking-up the fixes, no proper testing ? At this rate I am really curious what patch 2.0 will look like... :)

I can live with cars not being ticked that I own and I accidently buy a 2nd.

I would be unhappy if cars I've been hunting for and don't have, are ticked as if I'd already purchased them. Anyone seen this happen yet?
