update question?

hey guys had the game months ago and got rid of it...picked it up again over the weekend...question is should i just update the game normally or is there some trick to having to do all of these downloads? have read about some people having issues...looks like about 7.5GB to download...sigh
 
I don't think there's any trick, just put the game in and let it start downloading/installing, check back on it tomorrow (it will take quite a while to do that many updates).
 
Wire your PS3 into your router for optimum download speeds too... :)
 
yah its wired in...guess ill turn it on and check on it tomorrow...lol

Well it finished downloading and installing in 4 hours...so I'm expecting to play then I get to the main screen and get this screen...what's installing now game data for faster loading?

No worries, GT6 has to update twice to update...:sly:
Seriously though, GT6 installs the updates hot patch's(and who knows what else), after the PS3 installs the data.

Downloading and installing are too different things, It has to download the update and then you get a message it is now installing the update.

after 7 grueling hours it finished last night...got in a race at sierra...worth it!

insane how long it took to install everything at once...that **** sat there from noon till like 10PM lol.....all good now and its better than gt5.
