Update They sent Heather a brand new 360!!!!

Yes we do. Especially since Bioshock just came out, Stranglehold comes out next week, MOH airborne in a couple weeks, then most important of all Halo 3. All within a month which is how long it will probably be before we get her other 360 back.
Gaming is one of our major hobbies. When that hobby gets broken we get another one. :sly: I did it when my other 2 360s broke.
Besides, finding a cute girlfriend thats into gaming is not easy. So when her 360 dies you bet I am getting her an instant replacement. lol

Ah, THAT's the reason why Microsoft is selling so many Xbox360's :sly:
 
I just got an email from my friend that sent his in last week. He got his back today with a note saying that they just gave him a new console. It must be getting more cost and time effective just to grab a new console and send it back.

So, you might not need to buy a new system, unless you can't even manage a week.

Who knows, they might not even take the time to check for Red Rings at this point.

Thats exactly what they did with me. My current 360 (3rd one) is brand new directly from Microsoft and I even got the same note that he got. This 3rd 360 is way better than the other 2. It is also so quite I cant hear it at all. The other 2 were from Circuit City and were just junk.
 
I was at Best Buy during my lunch break between classes buying CDs and I took a moment to ask the folks at the customer service desk what my warranty from them covers. Apparently my issues with DVDs (they tend to skip, a lot) is enough to bring it back in, get my $400 back, and apply it to an Elite. Apparently I get to keep my HDD, and I assume my controller too, so it looks like I'll be having a new baby in the next few days.

Hooray for HDMI L337-ness!
 
We are going tonight to get Heather a "rental" 360 while we wait for her other 360 to get repaired. Since we will be returning it we are just going to get the core.
We have been taking turns playing Bioshock on my 360 all week and it just isnt working out. lol She needs her own 360 and I need mine.
 
I have no regrets at all about buying my 360 over the PS3. I have already played well over 100 excellent games on the 360. Where if I had bought I PS3 it would have only been a handful of games. I have no regrets at all buying the 360. Some of the best gaming experiences I have ever had are on this system. :) 👍
 
Finally an update. She was having major problems with her first 360. Freezing multiple times a day and the tray only opened half the time. So we called Microsoft and just told them it had the 3 red lights of death. It didnt really but we knew it was very close. With that said we didnt know if they would repair it and charge us, give her a new one, or not do anything at all.
Long story short they sent her a brand new 360 and it came in yesterday. Thank you Microsoft!! So now Heather and I both have brand new 360s directly from microsoft and these ones work real well. :):)
I am on my 3rd 360 she is on her 2nd 360 but these new ones are very good.
 
That's good news, I'm happy this week since Microsoft gave me my £80 I spent to get it repaired months ago.
 
Congrats on getting new machines! Its good that MS is taking their customers seriously, hopefully these wont suffer the problems that other have had. I just hope they continue to improve the consoles build quality even further because even today people are buying the elite version only to find it red lights in afew weeks...
